I very recently re-discovered my ability to see things with innocence and wonder - something which I thought I lost a good few years ago. I listen to Trance, I ride a bike like a man half my age and I certainly don't act it!
Perhaps it's less about years and more about mileage - the wisdom and courage to know what we like and how to get it! |

At some point in a conversation with my sister she'll ask "how old are you?!!" as she thinks I'm childish!
I think I'm old. I'm excited, waiting for my gardener to turn up so we can discuss borders! I don't go out that much, I truly can't be bothered. I prefer my own company.

I have these 2 quotes looking at me every morning when I wake up -
Age is a question of mind over matter. If you don't mind, it doesn't matter. ~Leroy "Satchel" Paige
I sure don't mind!!
Nobody grows old merely by living a number of years. We grow old by deserting our ideals. Years may wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul. ~Samuel Ullman

i think because i have health problems it makes me old for my age, in some ways i am i go to bed early, like peace and quiet, old things rather than modern things.
being married to a man who is 20 years older than me makes me feel old a lot of the time.
in some ways i am young for my age, when i am with my son who is in his thirties, we laugh a lot at silly things, as we share the same sense of humour. in some ways i havnt grown up because my hubby has done everything for me, he pays all the bills and stuff. |

Im old in some ways like i don't really do night clubs and pubs prefer a glass of wine over a meal...but in others im young every now and again i think its a good idea to drink a shit load of vodka and then everything is a good idea at the time...shots and waffling shit follow and normally getting into trouble follows
i will never grow up really. |

Yeah, about 30 in my head. Fit and active, still learning new things.
Not into clubbing but impulsive, sometimes a risk taker - drive too fast.
Drive fast, shag sloooow Baby!
Oh, came over a bit Austin Powers for a moment. |

Very much a mixed bag...I appear and act 20 years younger to most people but then the sensible side kicks in along with the odd aching sign from my body that I am NOT the same age as my youngest 20 year old son |

I think I may be a bit of both. My mind thinks i'm still young, but then when i want to do something, my body says "be serious mate, are you having a laugh" ! |

I don't go to nightclubs or do drugs or anything I did before we had kids so in that respect, very 42. I have been told I don't look my age and others similar are balding or grey or are not as toned as I am so in that respect younger, I still like starwars and stuff....dunno really. Bit of both. Story of my life.... |

I know alot of young people that dont go clubbing, geting d*unk and doing drugs.
It doesnt mean they are old, just enjoying different things.
I got stuck at 36. When im with people in there 30's i really do forget that im quite a bit older than them |

We are slowing down now a bit...poor old sods so we'd now rather go for quality & quantity lol!
Saying this though we still seem adventurous & fun to the people we meet so we must be doing something right... |

What does it mean to be old nowadays when we have a longer life expectancy than our parents (for those of my generation). Looking at pics of my parents at my age I have decided to take away at least 10 years....I am really 60!! |

Im only young anyway but when playing in the park, running around like a tit and making daisy chains with my kids im young!
When out clubbing, getting wrecked, puking and falling over im young.
But generally im older in my head, I get along with older people better than people my age too. My mum is my friend we go out a lot etc so that's why and my ex was 11 years older.
I love being both, im eclectic in my age
And im the little young 30 next month |

I'm 40 this year
Always hated late night
Nightclubs etc
I get home from work shower and pjs by 7 and in bed by 9.30 and it works for me, if I'm too old before my time I don't really care I could never do an all nighter it would kill me |

In some respects I'm older. My OH is older than me and I'd much rather spend time with people older than younger.
That being said I am still perfectly capable of acting like a child!! |

Well when we are out, we do silly childish stuff lol, i rarely have my grown up head on unless i need to. But some of the activities i do/dont do makes me oldfashioned.
Jay is 70 and hes the one thats like 40 in his head, if he behaved like an old fart i wouldnt be with him but we connect beautifully |

Younger. I'm lucky that Im blessed with good genes and don't look my age. Though this has been assisted by a lifetime of exercise which has kept the dreaded middle age spread away. I still enjoy gigs and festivals and it's certainly not uncommon for us to be out all night.
That said I do accept that there has to be more balance these days. I have a responsible job and rarely drink on a weeknight and the messy nights out are spread out. The days of partying for 2 days solid are long gone! |

"in some respects, older

i like to mix it up a bit "
Same for me...
Alot of people think that I am younger than my age (looks wise) which isn't always a good thing. Does annoy me at times...
But then I enjoy a lot of things that most of my friends consider to be dull and for those much older.
Have to admit that a late night out takes me much longer to recover from.

I am young for my age, in appearance as well as in outlook in life.
No lines on my face at 48, thanks to good genes from my mum and her wisdom to instruct me to start moisturising my face when I was 11.
Being fat helps to smooth out the wrinkles if any.
And no one believe my white/platinum hair is real.
As for outlook, I have always been the happy go lucky and fancy free type, with no kids to tie me down.

I am struggling to answer this one. There are times when (in mum role) when I feel like a parent and my age. Other times I feel and act out the rebellious, non conformist and then I am like I was in my teenage years demonstrating in the streets for whatever seemed worth demonstrating for. I guess a bit of both at different times? |

Over the rainbow, under the bridge |
I go to a dance class twice a week - doing between 2-3 hours each week. I go out and get d*unk on occasion (but not nearly as much as I once did!), love to play cards and scrabble. Much prefer to be out and about than staying home and doing housework. If I am not working can stay up pretty late, though often in bed early when I am up at the crack of dawn.
So, am I young or old for my age? Don't really know. Just am me. |

I don't drink or smoke and have never been done for speeding so i like to think i am "mature" some people think i am boring for not drinking but when i driving 7 days a week a ban is the last thing i need.
I do enjoy nightclubs and naughty clubs and get told quite regularly i look younger than iam.
I feel young as well, but i am not exactly old either |

Apart from the knitting I`m pretty much the same. I suppose you could substitute railway modelling for the knitting! Something that rattled me was the death of a guy cycling through my village recently. He was three years older than me give or take a month of three. He was 60 and I certainly don`t feel as old as someone three years his junior! |

I wouldn't like to say, I work 12 hours a day 7 days on 1 off so really don't have that much time to do personal stuff but when I have a day/night off I do love to let my hair down and have a good night out |

I think I'm spot on for my age. I like a nice bar/pub but not dance clubs. I am in bed by 10is normally just cuz I have to be up at 5am for work. I'd much rather bbq in the backyard and have a bonfire witj friends than go out bar hopping. |

I still feel in my twenties in my head and can often be found making a twat of myself on a messy night out despite being 42 next week but I feel older physically because of health problems at the moment!! Saying that despite the crutches I'm still off out for the next 3 weekends and have 2 gigs coming up |

Far too young for my age, I still do the things I used like paintballing, cycling and drinking far too much alchohol than is good for me.
Only thing now is the old body complains a bit more than usual, and I have a few more grey hairs |
