I was introduced to Swinging a long time ago - 1985 in fact. At the very first party I went to, after all the play in different rooms in the house, everyone still there at about 1am ended up in the very large lounge in an orgy of about 40 people, with an approx 50/50 split male to female.
This was very much the pattern for all the house parties I attended over the following 4 years until I left the scene and 'settled down'.
Since returning just over four years ago, the one thing that has puzzled me is that I don't see much - if any - mention of orgies either in clubs or at parties, and very rarely on Fabs. Is it something that has died a death on the intervening years, or has the concept of group sex (ie. a number of couples swapping) largely replaced the orgy?
I can fully understand if it is the need for safe sex which may have killed it off, as this can be difficult to maintain in a true orgy situation.
Wondered what anyone else thinks on this, or have I just got a completely incorrect view and they are actually taking place right under my nose!!? Lol!
Interested what others think, specially those who were swinging as far back as the 80's like me. |

I've heard descriptions of group sex on here where it was several couples fucking each other then swapping, I'd always wanted to try group sex where everyone was properly interactive with everyone else, I guess being bi is a huge advantage in those scenarios but I did do group sex a while back and I suppose that could have been described as an orgy. I'd like a room full of people all fucking and licking and sucking, all bodies mixed up, all hot, sweaty, sticky and no one caring what they do or see.

I have a feeling this is what may lie behind it. Despite the arrival of AIDS in the early 80's, bareback was still very much alive and well some years later and this is what used to go on at these parties. Even in a somewhat smaller group situation, it can get a little 'dampening' to be changing condoms time and again as you move from partner to partner, but if you want to maintain a position of safe sex, that's what is needed. Try doing that with 40 people on one carpet/mat as I experienced on a regular basis back then and it ain't easy to do reliably...
Pity though, as an orgy on that scale is a LOT of fun |

Yes although my condoms were flavoured so they were different colours. A veritable rainbow and fruit cocktail, as it were. I wish we could have a fab forumites orgy. |
