For me it has to be Casino Royale. I enjoy all the bond films, Pierce Brosnan was the best up until Daniel Craig came along.
I found the lack of goofy gadgets and the new way of Bond being portrayed as an agent who relied on his skill rather than technology to be really enjoyable to watch. When Casino Royale came out I loved the story as it felt more believable and and compelling.
The emphasis on Bonds emotions really took the franchise to a new level of story telling for a character, less of a gimmick and more of an emotional journey |

Agreed. I just wish Tarantino had taken it on (he expressed interest)."
The franchise needs soneone like Tarantino. The last few felt tired. |
