Paper Town Central, Essex. |
Watched it on and off since it was originally WWF.
I even cosplay one of the wrestlers (actually met the guy and he said its very awkward meeting someone who does his character better than he does).

Started watching old events since it arrived on Netflix.
I'm a former indy worker that had a wwe tryout so I've been backstage at a house show.
Went to one live event but didn't like it as the matches are for TV. House shows are better as they play to the crowd not the cameras |

My son used to be a massive fan, took him to a couple of live events and a meet and greet. He's not a fan now, seems like a phase for some but then gets revisited in later life.
Real life superheroes I guess. |

Been a fan since I was around six years old.
We’ve only been to one house show at the o2. I think it was the DX tour.
Was pretty good.
Really couldn’t afford their prices now. Saw tickets for around £300 each! That would cost too much to take wife and son. |

I went to the shows in Belfast in the 80s when orig Williams (who gave me first big break) when he was touring Ireland so saw
Giant haystacks, skull Murphy, dave finlay etc. My dad hated taking me just kept calling it fake |

"Been seeing a lot of WWE fans pop up over here, guess it's cool to like wrestling again!
Definitely interested in a wrestlemania watch party, not sure who else would be down."
I would say the cool to be a wrestling fan was the attitude era. Suddenly DX, Steve Austin and NWO tshirts were cool. Plus the popularity of ECW. Show an ECW show to a non wresting fan and they were amazed. They also started "breaking the 4th wall" around this time and stopped kayfabing so much. But then a few years later they try and bring kayfabe back in.
Problem with todays product is that talent is rarely discovered anymore. Scouts no longer attend indy shows and they are all manufactured through developmental and mold you into a gimmick. |

Definitely not wrong there with talent not being found and when they are they aren't booked properly. HHH ain't doing a bad job but it's missing a bit of flair that Vince had as fucked as he was. Kinda over seeing the same people win for the last 8 years now. |
