Should men dye their hair

"Do what makes you happy
That is a bullshit answer. 100% no. You will look odd and everyone that knows you will think WTF have you done. "
Why is it a bullshit answer?
Surely we do what makes us happy than trying to please or impress other people?
Do you dress for others, have a haircut to suit others, be a certain weight for others, wear make up for others etc or do you do something because it makes you feel good or happy? |

Dye it, too much dull greyness in the world already no need to add to it.
Try different colours too till you find the right one.
I know people in their 70's 80's with no grey and their's is natural.

That is so true, I started to go grey at 18, by 30 I was called the sliver fox now at 50 also starting to get a bit thin on top. I would love my hair to be how it was in my 30s not so dry and thick. But I’ve never used moisturiser hand cream etc… I think it’s ok to just accept who you are and grow old… I’m fortunate though as my body has always been in shape… I work out but I’ve also been able to eat what I want so I’m pretty happy with the way my looks body turned out… I’m no brad Pitt but look what that did to Angelina Jolie she’s gone right off guys… enjoy what you have. If you’re not ok then do what you need to do… who cares what people say about the hair dye etc fuck em |

"Gone really white/grey, did dye the hair when started to go grey but now not done anything for years just gone natural.
What’s everyone’s thoughts??"
Always go natural, at least it will never look out of place.😉 |

Ok I was a man for 49 years so I'm chiming in. I started to go grey at 19. Had long hair for my entire adult life as a heavy metal fan. Started dying it about ten, 15 years ago and have NEVER had anyone say "wtf you look ridiculous"
I HAVE had people tell me they love it and ask where I got the dye, do I bleach etc.
And we're not talking "getting rid of the grey" natural colours. I've been blue, green, red, mermaid blue/green... While otherwise presenting completely male.
Own it, lean into it, go a colour that suits you and don't let anyone else tell you what to do with your body. |

People will notice. If you don't mind that do it.
I've coloured my hair for around 15 years to cover grey the upkeep is a pain (on short hair even more so) and if like me you have it done at a salon expensive. Unless you only tint the regrowth which will show after about two to three weeks you'll end up with dry and damaged hair.
I'm all for doing what you want though so do what makes *you* feel good. |

Yes, dye it. But not to your original black/brown, where friends would assume you were trying to cover up going grey. Bright blue maybe, or purple? I'm going to try red as soon as the current blue has washed out a bit more. Crazy Color does some amazing colours in "temporary dye" that's supposed to last up to about a month, fades a bit every time you wash it. Though the very white bits of my hair is now refusing to let go of the last traces of the blue! |

I don't and won't but that's my choice just as it's the choice of those who do.
If this thread asked whether women should dye their hair or not the answers would all be very different to these and much less critical. |

I'd definitely dye my hair silver...I once cosplayed as Geralt from the witcher and had this silver hair wig on - I looked awsome 👌. I wouldn't dye my hair blonde, gingers have no souls so can't have red hair (this is sarcasm)...and I've had black hair all my life, which is getting boring at this point 😅 so can't wait to enter my silver fox stage 🦊 |

Sure why not. If you like it or want to. Just try start before you full white wolf look otherwise it’s harder for people to adjust. But really zero fucks man just do you |
