Do many others on this site suffer from anxiety???
i do and when the symptoms flair up they really flair up,, heart flutters,, tingly chest,, and feeling like i cant breath,, light headed
just wonder how everyone else copes as i have refused meds to try and beat this on my own lol,, usually just bury my head in work and try to get on with it

As a fellow anxiety sufferer, all i can say is to give the meds a try, even if it's only for a short time, it shows life without that feeling and helps you overcome it easier. I had meds for a few months and when i came off them the anxiety didn't come back. I still get the odd attack now and then but I'm a lot better than i was |

I (mrs) suffer anxiety, have had to turn to the meds this time since it is work that is the cause this time.
I am looking for another job but in the mean time I have to cope with the one I have.
I can't take them on a morning as I need to stay very aware in work. I am lucky that at the moment I'm working with people who know I suffer and if I'm having an attack they will talk to me about something random to (try) and take my mind off it and get me laughing.
The meds just help me to get some sleep at night and I am looking forward to getting a new job and being good as new!
Wish you luck OP and give the tabs a try, usually a couple of days and I'm back to normal.

I ( Bill ) also suffer from bouts of anxiety, I would say that the last thing you need to do is bury yourself into work, as this could be one of the major causes of your attack.
having these attacks is a way of telling you that you need to slow down, if your not on meds, try holding ur breath under cold water, imersing your face cools the head and I find it helps.
obviously keep hold of your nose to stop the water intake or it will be a permanant cure ! lol.
hope you get yourself sorted soon mate. |
