ooooh... good question.. rather than the bloody endless popularity polls that are doing the fab swinging rounds at the moment
you could just do this with morecombe and wise sketches
making breakfast to the stripper music
the andrey previn sketch
there is nothing like a dame.... |

As mentioned before....
Andre Previn sketch in Morecambe and Wise - this still cracks me up every time I see it.
Only Fools and Horses - as well as the 'falling through the Bar flap' there is also the 'Chandelier cleaning and removal' scene! Both are sheer comic genius.
Someone mentioned Laurel and Hardy - the Piano Delivery up several flights of steps outside a house is, to me, just side splittingly funny. I ache for hours afterwards having _iewed it.

Oh Hell this is a good one!
Some have been mentioned already, Andre Previn on M+W, Gerald the Gorilla, One leg too few.
Some others I never tire of are History Today from the Mary Whitehouse Exp, Monty Python Eric the Half Bee, Fast Show..all of it!
This is one of those huge subjects. |

Childrens home for him!
Dave"
Peter Serafinowicz did a very funny take on Laurel and Hardy a couple of years back |

"Not the Nine O'Clock News
Favourite stand-up though is Dave Chapelle, try youtubing "killing them softly" one of the best i've seen in ages and really will have you crying with laughter "
dont get me started on dave chappelle... he had two different types of sketch.. the ones that made you really think and the ones that just made you flat out laugh...
for flat out making me laugh... wayne brady, reparations, the playa haters ball and Racial Draft are brilliant..
for making you think... Clayton Bigsby (the black white supremisist..) is so well done...
cant believe its been 10 years since chappelles show |

Royle family. Jim in bathroom with caroline ahern. Her waters have just broken for her first baby. She's scared stiff and this is a tender moment between father and daughter where he chats away her fears. After a bit of pause jim asked 'are you sure love, it wasn't just a great big piss?'
Cracks me up. |

Monty Python's a rich source of many quality ones. I'm very fond of Cheese Emporium and the Argument sketch.
I loved Reg Prescott on Kenny Everett too, the hapless DIY handiman who'd inflict injury after injury upon himself.
Not the Nine O'Clock News has had several mentions, I like the American Express one "That'll do nicely sir and would you like to rub my tits too?" |
