So after a well attended tranny gathering last night in Leeds, and me drinking and shagging til gone 4am, I was quite surprised to find myself wide awake and relatively sober at 8am. Am now wary that the hangover goblins are lurking around every corner with their hammers and bags of sick, waiting for me to relax so they can pummel me til I cry.

So have I reached some sort of point in my life where alcohol no longer affects me? Has anyone else experienced this? Or am I kidding myself and it's all going to go very wrong very soon?

You're still d*unk. Hangover will be starting at about 4pm. Head it off at the pass with a fried egg butty.

Close enough for fun!

It always affects the body but the brain learns to cope with it in its own way. Also if you drank over a long period of time maybe you drank a little less than you thought you did. Fingers crossed it stays as you are and you have a lovely Saturday.

Oh dear Jodie, the hangover is in the post. Awaiting the moment you think you're safe from it.

Then it will bite with such ferocity and lack of mercy................I feel your pain

I've had a full brekkie.....nothing happened.

I do now have a 7 hour train journey home though. I worry that they'll strike en-route after being aggravated by the obligatory screaming child and I'll be forced to be sick all over it.

Hopefully your train has a buffet car and you can top up on your journey home.

Best of luck.

I suppose this is the wrong time to mention that I don't get hangovers... at all, ever, no matter how much I abuse the grape or the grain?

Guess it'll depend what you were drinking?

If I stick to one particular poison I usually just feel tired and a tad rough.

Beer, wine, spirits, cocktails and mixers? I'll look and feel like a combination of movie characters!

Starting with a zombie version of the elephant man, flitting between the possessed girl in the exorcist and Finch from American Pie with a runny arse - and ending with the guy from Scanners whose head explodes!

Good luck - I suspect you may need it later!

Yes I have managed to catch a nap for a while and headache went away. Until obligatory screaming child sat in seat in front of me. Parents trying desperately and noisily to keep it entertained otherwise it mewls.

So eventually, after train emptied once we left civilisation for Scotland, there is enough space for me to move coaches and be free.

I didn't have to resort to being sick over it. But it was touch and go for a moment.

2 hours. And a shit load of football fans have just fucked up my peace and quiet. I hate public transport, I want my chauffeured Jag!! And the money to enable me to have a chauffeured jag!!

This is my punishment for enjoying myself. Not a hangover, but public transport hell, and it's far worse.
