My very old cat with kidney disease has gone missing???!!!!!
I know its only a cat but ive had her 14 years and she was my mate. She cant eat normal food, as it would kill her so even if some nice person finds and takes her in they will do more harm than good....
Just want to know if she is ok or dead....need to know one way or the other |

Sadly our pets become one of the family so we can imagine exactly how you feel. We've lost both of our cats now and won't have anymore as both times hit us so hard. We'll make do with sharing our kids animals lol.
Hope your cat turns up safe and well x |

We hope she turns up soon, losing a pet is very distressing particularly when they have been part of your family for so long, lost a few and its never easy.
Our condolences if she is dead, but as you say not knowing is worse. |

I really feel for you, I used to foster the older cats for our local cat rescue centre, it always broke my heart when one became poorly.... Have you checked outside under hedges and bushes? If you cat isn't feeling to go it may have gone somewhere quiet, hope your cat returns soon |

Lots of people have said that....she has thrown up a few times lately....which is a bad sign I know....
Thanks to everyone for their wishes x

It's horrible when they disappear. My cat was 16 and of declining health. One day she didn't come in for her tea and we later found her at the bottom of the garden curled up in a ball. It was almost like she knew it was her time and wanted to take herself away. Like you say it's the not knowing that's the killer x |

Sad to hear your news, as a cat lover myself I know how you feel, had one cat that went for 6 weeks (we'd moved across town and he kept going back to woods near the old house).
We had given up hope when we had a phone call.
Best of luck, as has been said, it'd the not knowing that does us in most. |

I don't know if it's the same with cats (never had one), but dos tend to go off alone when they sense they are about to die. Sorry, but I think you should be prepared for the worst. |

I hope she turns up soon Hun. My old cat went missing for a couple of days once and it turns out he was in next doors caravan but cos he was going a bit deaf he couldn't hear me calling him so he just enjoyed the comfy warm bed and slept.
Cats are funny things so independent in a funny sort of way. Keep us posted x |

I also had an old cat disappear and not come home. I was told that they often disappear and find somewhere quiet to die when they know it is their time as someone has already said, least that is what I like to think rather than she was hurt and couldn't get home. I do hope that your's comes home as it is an upsetting time when a member of the family as they are disappears, so fingers crossed for you but be prepared and you may never know
Hugs to you xx |

"i hate the 'its only a cat'-
my wee cat is my darling..I'd poke a PERSONS eyes out if they ever wittingly harmed her..and that is a fact"
For sure, my cat is my friend and buddy, more special because she adopted me.
Any news yet?
Really hoping for a good outcome. |
