Why is real life a sh*t show right now?
77 y/o mother had a stroke yesterday. 75 y/o father, with dementia, thinks he has everything under control and doesn't need our help 🤷♀️ Oh how I would love to be getting pissed right now lol. Thanks for letting me rant. I really needed that 👍 |

If one posts about a meet today, at yours, within 15 miles of me, I don't mean one tomorrow or next week, or at mine or at some creative place that isn't yours, nor one 200 miles away, ffs |

Sparkle darling, the way to deal with dicks at work is to have more dick at home |

Parking payment machines that don't work, forcing you to use an app you don't yet have for that particular car park, then having to create an account, and the FUCKING TRAINS COMING!!

"A reminder to bosses - it's cheaper to properly train and reward your existing staff than it is to constantly have to hire new people when everyone decides to quit."
As someone who has to train staff as part of my job I feel this in my bones |

I used to have one of those, so one day he went too far and I told him to shove his job and I took early retirement. Good people don't leave jobs, they leave bad managers. |

"Sometimes I just wanna chat. Sucks to constantly being asked for a face pic and ghosted
My inbox is always open to people wanting to chat. As long as they can keep within boundaries x"
People (men) can be such schmuks. There are some genuine nice guys (and gals) on here too. Honest. |

I love my son so so much, he is autistic and I love spending time with him, playing with his action figures, playing video games, reading. He is the most incredible little guy ever,my little buddy. I just wish his mother would take an interest in him, spend time with him and play with him. Thanks for the thread, first time I've verbilised this. |

It’s so sad that she won’t take an interest. Hope things get better for you and him and that she come to her beJaysus senses. |

I don't think she will, I've spoken to her about it so much but she gets very defensive. On the flip side he and I spend our days playing g and messing about so he is a very happy and content little dude, he probably subconsciously sees it as its rarely he'll go to her for something or to ask for help. But I don't hold it against her some people just aren't able to cope. |

As much as it hurts and I'm sure it's very difficult for you all. It may just be her way of dealing with it. It could be guilt, it could be an sense of "why my son?!", or maybe she's concerned that his diagnosis may hinder his life rather than enrich it. I work with children on the spectrum and often see, especially during the earlier years following diagnoses, parents that have polar opposite approaches.
Like everything, people cope differently.
Could you have a meeting with the appropriate staff members at his school? Sending hugs |

I'm generally a very happy bunny and always looks to find the positives in any situation that comes my way. But! I struggle to find positive angle regarding my parents.
They are in there 80's with failing health and they live 20000km's away from me. I very much feel obligated to be closer to them just so I can support them both. Due to my personal circumstances though that's not an option.
I do visit them every year but my conscience keeps on telling me I should be doing more.
I am dreading getting that phone call from my brother or sister to say.........☹️

I hope Labour voters are at least smart enough to realise how that have cocked up!!!
Taxing working people to give it to the bone idle and civil servants!!!
FFS, what a mess. And blaming the Tories is fine but Labour has buggered it up more for people with jobs and saving in the last 6 months than the Tories did with a significant structural change in Brexit and a global shock of the Pandemic.
Their party is ignorant, arrogant and incompetent… well done for voting for that! Arghhh! |
