or short for your Personal Happiness Score
I am on a fairly constant 8 out of 10 and have been for some months. To get to 9 it would require a slight (not massive) reduction in my working hours.
Your personal happiness score in points out of 10 - where are you and what would make you score higher? |

You do ask some very thought provoking questions.....
I am currently an 8 which may seem strange since I am recovering from knee surgery but it is a very fair reflection
To reach a 9 I would have to be living back in my own home and meeting again....
I do not believe I am capable of reaching 10 |

I do a fair amount of driving and ponder about life and people and then I come up with these weird question...
I totally get that "not being capable " of achieving 10... I sometimes wonder whether why we are stopping ourselves though |

I know exactly why I won't allow myself to reach 10, and that sits fine with me. it is a compromise I am happy to make... |

I am happy and working towards being happier.
So many people expect 1 thing to change their lot, but life moves on and what makes you happy today could simply pail into insignificance in light of something that just may happen tomorrow that changes everything.
As cliche as the old adage may be, I do believe that happiness is a journey and not a destination. |

I so agree with you - sometimes we get caught up in the idea that "if only" that one thing were to happen... we would be happy whereas in reality happiness comes from within, from being at peace with oneself. |

I am at 5, I like being at 5 that gives options tomorrow I could hit 6 or 4 but how would I know that I hit a 9 if I have never experienced a 1
Agree 10 should be reserved as part of true happiness is having something higher to aim for. |

Honestly, right at this present time I don't think I could score it. Or rather I don't think I would want to take a step back and look - I think the results would not be conducive to happiness.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound |
"I'm at a 6, particularly alcohol induced. I know what needs to change to raise the score but not all things are possible.Does alcohol bring it up or down? Serious question."
It depends. This evening it's an up. Other times it can make the world less than satisfactory. I tend only to drink socially and celebratory and that means it enhances rather than detracts. |

Alcohol is a depressant as a rule |

It is a depressant for me...I haven't d*unk in a long time because of it...It can make an OK day seem like a BAD day...so I avoid |

It is so true that for some people even moderate amounts of alcohol can have a devastating effect. If I were in a sad mood I would not have alcohol for that reason. |
