only competitions ive entered are singing based ones, and although its great to win i am fair in my views of others performances and will often think 'yeah he/she was far better than my vocal performance'

I am not competitive at all and I don't strive to achieve success or the trappings of it.
I won't knowledgeably be played off against someone opting instead for a retreat and withdrawal.
Neither do I set myself life goals or places to be by a certain age.
I just bumble along happily being me and enjoying life in my own little way. |

I enter some comps on here but mostly for fun and I don't care if I win or not.
I notice (being a mum to a two year old) the competitiveness between parents. It's madness. You can say something like 'oh my lad caught a football for the first time today' and most say oh that's nice etc but then there's the ones that say 'oh yeah but my lad can do this....' It's infuriating . |

i notice that too at playgroup. Im sure im also guilty of saying things like that too. Only cos im a proud mum. I then realise after i more than likely looked like a dusche bag for trying to 'point score' when that wasnt my objective |

Probably not competitive enough to be honest, I was asked repeatedly to enter into this years 'Taste of the West' food show by the organisers and refrained from doing so, I made out that it was because we don't supply direct to retail but in reality it was because I don't like all that sucking up and creeping that goes with Food Shows. |

I feel that some people take the competitions on here way too seriously and I can't keep up with the rules and regs, so as far as I am concerned it is all just a bit of fun.
Same as in real life, I am only competitive if it is something serious to me...eg sport or career...things that actually are worth while being competitive for. |

Yes, I take great pride in being the best I can and the best in competition with others.
My direct competitor has just spent thousands on advertising whereas I never need to advertise and I'm overrun with clients.
The problem is my brother is the same - I remember a rather heated game of Risk where my brother stormed off in a huff because I'd knocked him out of the game!
