iPhone VS Samsung - Zeno dictates...
Jump to: Newest in thread
Having learnt about the father of Stoic philisopy, Zeno and his teachings I must conclude that ...
Universal harmony can only be achieved through an iphone....
Anything else is imperfection and therefore in error.
Thankyou!

I much prefer my Samsung. I could probably live with a jailbroken Iphone, but I found mine restrictive. Though the interface is slicker, it's not as buggy and the speakers are better than the Samsung, I still would not swap my S3 for anything. I much prefer it to my iphone where the screen cracks far too easily and I could not stand being dictated to by nanny Apple about what I can and can't do with my phone - it's annoying. Give me android any day. |

At work we have every model of smart phone going for testing purposes and in prolonged usage the build quality and software quality is better on the iPhone. They simply perform better and last longer.
BUT!
The latest Samsung S3 has caught up somewhat, it still feels a bit creaky and 'child's toy' in your hands compared to iPhone but the quality is significantly better than previous models and the responsiveness has improved greatly, no detectable pauses from tap to action like in every other Android phone we have.
iPhone still has a small edge for now in our labratory conditions |

Being an iphone and ipad owner and have been a defender of them for years. I have been looking at other options while waiting for my phone contract to end and buying a tablet for a gift, iphones/ipads are truely now bloody awful compared to many other makes, my ipad has been sold and replaced with an android and my iphone is going to be replaced when my contract ends in October. |

Too true,, iPhone far to over priced for what you get,, android I found had too many bugs and just did not seem complete,, altho windows 8 is a little restrictive on times its also a really good system with nice features,, surprised its popularity is still in its infancy |

My daughter had an Htc and had similar problems

Why would you say the IPhone is the best?
* Was it the first smartphone on the market? No not be a long run
* Does it have the best screen? No
* Does it have the most powerful processer? No
* Does it have the best battery life? No
* Does it have the best connectivity? No
* Does it have the best support network? No
hmmmmm ? I am confused

I adore my S3, so easy to use, battery life is great, camera fantastic, and really good signal too.
I know 3 people that have been die hard Iphone users, one of whom has had every iphone since they began, and they have all turned to the S4 in the last week. |

Have to say I always find the fandroid verses apple sheep a interesting concept, both have there advantages and disadvantages but surely it's down to personal preference and built quality at the end of the day ( yes I have a iPhone and yes I have had other phones in the past but I like the size of the 4 and it works well) personally I hate the size phones seem to be getting nowadays I want a phone that slips in the pocket and my hand easily and does what I need it to do |

Im still stuck with my trusty old S2 at the moment, my sis has a iphone 5 and my s2 still pisses all over it, even though they are the same phone underneath just a few tweaks in the iphone. had iphones myself and always found them to be disappointing and restricted.
So samsung definatly gets a thumbs up from me |

Got the i phone 5 when it first came out, hated it as I had nothing but trouble with it. Sent it back and got a Windows phone. Luv it and wouldn't change! |

Apple are losing market share because there are better phones out there.
SAMSUNG
HTC
for example
There last hope was that people saw the os-x operating system as better than that of the Android and Windows. Problem is Android and Windows operating system get updates and improvements all the time so get better and better. OS-X is slow at being updated or improved, mainly I feel because apple think it does not need to be improved.

The true cost of an Iphone is 20% of the selling price (components) labour in assembling it is approx $7.50 the rest of the cost is marketing (telling you how good the phone is and why you cannot go on without it) and the remainder is profit for apple.
They are made in sweatshops in china (Hon Hai Precision Industry Co. Ltd Shenzen, China) and there are rumours children as young as 8 are involved in its production.
To confuse buyers they have "Designed in California" on their packaging. The comnpany also produces the eye-phone for its home market, it looks like the apple phone and retails at approx £75.
Apple products are too pricey and a niche product which is made obsolete too regularly by the company who looks to increase its sales by persuading customers to ditch last years phone and spend money on the latest. |

Comments are irrelevant..
Zeno teaches that harmony through Stoics needs to be without error.
Therefore anything other than an iPhone is irrelevant and thus, the views contrary to this should be discarded.

As the IPhone is not without error, then there is no harmony. But we need error to strive for better. Android has seen the errors of the IPhone and is striving for better.
Better we learn from our mistakes than being destroyed by them. |

I knew a workmate who was a diehard iphone fanboy. Anyone with a different phone he would dismiss as he considered it to be the best phone out there.
All that changed when the S2 came out and he piped down a wee bit then suggested I should check out the S3.
After doing my research on most of the phones in the market it was a no brainer.
S3 all the way.

You do not quote Zeno correctly, because NONE of his writings have ever been found, what you purport to be the writings and philosophy of Zeno are in fact the writings of Plato from 100 years after Zeno died.
What you are in fact misquoting are the writings of a contemporary scholar whose life started many years after Zeno had died.
Therfore without the existance of true writings from this person what you are actually spouting is heresay and gossip, it is therefore irrelevant in forming any opinion as it is not from "the horses mouth" |

Spectrum vs Commodore 64
Atari ST vs Amiga
Nintendo vs Sega
PlayStation vs Xbox
iPhone vs Android
I would suggest that all smartphones have something to offer, and it's a case of each to their own. Personaly, I have an iPhone and I like it, but I've nothing against any of the other OSes.
Peace, guys.

"samsung all the way for me.....toss up at moment wheher to get the s4 or note2 this month "
I use a Note. Find it great for email, tasks etc. Been using it as a sat nav recently - good sized display and picks up the gps feed quickly.
Good for perving fab too... |
