After reading through some of last nights prose I wondered do any of you hold grudges, or are you grown up enough to deal with any problems there and then?
Apart from wishing ill will of a boss of mine from about 20 years ago I cannot think of time when I have not dealt with a problem head on, never been one to let things fester |

Don't hold grudges, but don't forget lol! Life is too short and holding grudges just drags you down, so I learn from it and move on.........!

Some people in life cause so much emotional pain it's difficult to forgive, but, as difficult as it is to forgive, it's always best to move on, allowing bitterness / anger to eat away inside in not healthy, no one's life should be ruined due to the fault of others |

agree with you there, especially about hurting ones kids, so in my defence the twat-in-law deserved every punch I threw at him for hurting my daughter  |

i can hold a grudge for a very long time but i dont forget and i dont really forgive! i just go away from anyone i may bear a grudge against but have a swipe when the opportunity arises!! luckily there only been a few occassions in life where it has happened xxx |

I get pissed off very easily but forget about it just as easily and move on.
I never hold grudges - whats the point? The only person it really ends up hurting is yourself anyway so why would I want to hurt myself. Leave others to try and do that if thats what they take pleasure in. Mind when I get angry I am a tornado  and then calm .............. |

I know sometimes in life you have to stand your ground, otherwise sadly in this day and age you will get walked over. I hate bad feeling but it seems to be the way of the world these days. Wouldn't it be great if we all had a little more tolerance of others and make the world a slightly happier place to live ............. *sighs* xxx |

If I say I don't hold grudges I would be lying.
However, I would rather walk away with my head held high instead of fight till death, if you know what I mean.
When I don't like someone, that person will know, as I make sure he/she knows!
Kind of put me in an awkard situation at work, as I am supposed to get on with everyone. Yeah right!  |

suppose it depends on the type of damage done...
my ex met a guy on her hols in 2004, she decided to up root and move to be with him in devon. 300+ miles away from me, her going i didn't mind, but we had a 4 year old son, who was my life. i brought him up whilst she hit the bars and clubs, hence our break up in the 1st place... my son was moved to a place 5 hours from all his family he grew to know, both sets of grand parents etc.... i dont get to take him/pick up from school no more, i dont see him 32 weeks of the year because his mum decided only her needs in the equation mattered! i drive to see him once a month, costs me a fortune, but my boy is worth that and more, much more.... so my feelings to her...... short rope, tall tree. nothing will ever change that! bit of a rant, but some grudges wont budge for some peeps, and one of them.  |

It's unfortunate you are in this situation, and I share your pain.
I doubt if I am able to forgive or forget the way my late partner's family treated him and me after his death.
However, I managed to move on, and put that behind me.
I wish the situation will improve for you in the future! |

sorry for the loss and the insensitivity u experienced hun....
tho i doubt i will ever forgive my sons mother for her selfish actions....!
i'm not the only guy in this situation, and i feel the fact women are allowed to do this legally is an absolute joke in this country, if they was being abused by their fella fully understandable, but other than that... KIDKNAP in my eyes..

I second that! When I split I wanted to move miles away but my children needed to be in contact with their dad and he them. In the end we're four miles apart and are great friends and most importantly happy and loved kids. Your son will know you kept in touch and love him x |

Well for me personally you have to do something really bad to get on my shit list but once on it look out cos bad stuff is gonna happen.
I once had a lad rob my car after i gave him a lift so i waited for him to come out of prison (lots of previous) then when i next heard he was selling something he stole i got someone to ask to see the items and i arranged for the local cops to show up at the same time.
As the cops took him away i stood and waved so he knew it was me who shopped him. lol he got 5 years for that.
