Why is this seemingly omnipresent on profiles. Have they ever published anything?

My take on it which is on my profile:-

Sydney University: if you can help me get more than one message a week then please help yourself and fill your boots.

I'm still working on my research papers at the University.

Unfortunately we have such a bad reputation here that it has become extremely difficult to carry out our vital research😢

With people posting a legal disclaimer we are not allowed to interact🤣

Brum - ish

Result of a rumour dating back years. People see it on profiles, assume it’s a real risk and put it ‘just to be safe.’ My favourite is the one quoting US legislation.

FAB address it in the FAQs, pretty much it's BS:

We've noticed a legal disclaimer paragraph that some people have on their profiles. Should we have one too? What are they about? Do they do any good?

The "legal disclaimer" is pointless nonsense and all does is take up extra space on our servers. Please remove it if you have it on your profile. If you're worried about privacy please set your account to be hidden from non-registered users on your privacy page (this also hides it from search engines but may take a week or two to drop out of search) and remove the notice (and encourage others to do likewise).

Common sense advice would be NOT to put any information on your profile (here, or on any such site) that could identify you or that you don't want to become public! So for your own benefit, don't post phone numbers, real names or email / instant message addresses on your profile that people might see or "Google".

Some people may put non-identifying pics on their public profile but keep face pics private or for friends, for example

When rules were changed regarding a person's information by any means of whatever they used online

It was amended then some idiot decided to create something which had no meaning now but did before at some stage now it's just word's that are meaningless. As under the data protection act amendments were made and under the freedom and information act a person has the right to have there information held by say an app they may use have their information held by them deleted permanently as apps gather little things whilst using there apps. So it is a person's choice if they let one app know that they are using others which is something a person has control of and refuse

The end 🤣

For me it's a litmus test to assess potential paramours and playmates, to identify how gullible they are with the Sydney University nonsense and/or those ridiculous legal disclaimers inserted at the end of their profiles.

I wonder how shares in Fab are doing.

According to Facebook, Fab is now a traded entity.

At least that’s what hundreds of profiles tell me, so it must be true.
