I deleted everyone a few months ago for none of the above reasons (except for 2 people). A surprising amount appear not to have noticed or at least haven’t commented.. - off they fuck.

Yes.

If we’re no longer in regular contact and we feel like it’s going nowhere we just bin them.

We need not friend people we intend to shag so if it’s become obvious that isn’t gonna happen…

It’s actually prompted responses in the past and we’ve then gone on to meet quite quickly so it does seem to have the required effect.

I delete people from my friends list if we never met and we haven't interacted in a while.

If I meet someone and then decide I don't want to see them again, or we never meet and stop interacting I will delete their numbers.

Yes, I do, but not often.

The reasons are more down to logic, applicability, relevance and 'acquaintanceship decay', and not anything nasty or out of spite or any malice.

For example — last year I attended a social. Two people from my (limited) friend list were also there. We didn't engage or imbibe or embrace or anything, which is totally fine. If they're not going to chat to me in real life (at best) or pretend not to know me (at worst) then I fail grasp the rationale or logic for having them in my friend list. It's pointless.

Yes. I delete numbers as I don't message people out of the blue. I leave it up to people to message me as I have no secret life that they might be disrupting. I delete friends so I don't have to constantly see their activity on sites and they don't have to see mine.
