I've not had the car one myself.. which is surprising the amount of years I've been on here.I've had quite a few aging parents on death beds and sick pets the day before a meet.. I'm starting to get a bit worried I have some secret voodoo powers to inflict death and illness..😸 |

Have you considered why they might have passed you up to meet someone else?
I mean, I think it's bad form, but what made the other person a better option than you?
A previous meet perhaps?
Someone more local to them who they could meet without needing a car? |

They messaged you to let you know they can't make it.
Whether they can't make it cos of car issues or a better meet makes no difference.
I think it was thoughtful of them to not be as blunt and cold as to say ' I got a better offer'

We can verify you the next day or week.
I can have car trouble and have a meet at home.
Did you offer to go to them.
I often have more than one meet a day.
We all have to cancel now and again it can't be helped.
But if they cancel a second time I'm blocking them.

Main reason is they can. Anonymous behind a keyboard. Yes photo’s. Is it the person or persons behind the keyboard ?. So easy to put details that are incorrect . If profile hopes to meet or just playing a game ? |

Count your blessings. You got advance notice and were able to avoid unsuitable people.
Their misplaced empathy presumably, meant that they considered you, albeit they may not have been honest.
But, being stuck around, with spare time on your hands does give those with busy inboxes etc, the opportunity to catch up with profile admin |
