My Fitness pal - Ok I've just downloaded the app - hoping I can use this free without paying the subscription as my gyms enough money lol
I'm wanting to lose a 2 stones for the summer and heard this app might help me as I'm struggling to shift the pounds.
Anyone else used it or have any tips etc?

i use it every day
it's really useful! especially being able to make your meals in the 'my meals' tab if you frequently have the same thing.. then it's just a quick add instead of listing everything again.
-20lbs and 21inches in 5 weeks, and never felt better! 💪🏻 Px |

Never used it…. But having used similar…having a diet plan to follow helps so so much…. It’s easy to waiver..so if you stick to what’s said then it’ll keep you on track….
Good luck OP…. Setting those ‘small achievable targets’ is where it’s at ![](/icons/thumb_up.png) |

also, if you go on to tdee dot com, you can work out your daily energy expenditure, alongside your macros and ideal targets.. which can be really useful for editing your targets in the myfitnesspal app Px |

I’ve been on it since it came out years ago… gone through multiple pregnancies gaining and losing weight.. if you’re measuring your food right and putting the effort into using it right, you’ll definitely lose the weight you want |

I use it. It's worked for me if I stick to it 🤣
It's handy especially if you are reducing carbs and sugar and increasing protein so you can see a breakdown of your intake. I rarely find a food that isn't in there. Everything can be logged. |

So I'm guessing Ideally If I track the calories via MFP and go to the gym / sweat etc and then just stick to the 1500 calories a day I'll lose the weight. If i add the work outs to MYP will that then increased what I can eat each day if that make sense ? |

"Sorry last thing on this - does anyone know any cheat foods or go to foods to stop the hunger pangs especially in the evenings?"
Initially I went with gherkins 🤣
Something you like and low cal. But once your stomach gets used to not eating then you won't get the hunger pangs. It's because there are certain times of the day your body is used to getting food, I think I read that somewhere....
Someone said to eat a handful of nuts but I'd eat 2 bags so didn't work for me! Sometimes I'd have some salmon or if you prefer chicken? |

I tended to drink water…. Distract myself…. Maybe even do a workout…walk etc…. Take my mind off it….. but the hunger will dip off once your body gets used to the new regime |

Thank you - I've started to drink my water to see if that helps. Great body by the way and that's from a straight guy. |
