All over

Next door neighbours staying at same hotel once. Luckily apart from that day, never saw them again as they had a hired car and they were out everyday.

Loads job I do I've met thousands but one that stands out was when in Germany I broke down while I waited for recovery I popped to the nearest shops and a lad I grew up with was serving there apparently he'd met a girl while serving in the army and decided to stay bought the shop still over there.

couple, us we him her.

When I was about 17 I'd moved from one side of London to another one evening I had called a cab to go to a local eatery, got talking to the cabbie after about ten minutes of back and forth it turns out the guy used to be my granddad's best mate during the war and after and lost touch in the early 70,s.

I managed to get his details ( this was way before the internet kids so finding someone wasn't as easy as checking Facebook) I got them back in touch and the got together again.

your wildest dreams,

I went on a school trip to Spain. My best friend couldn’t come as her parents had booked them to go to Switzerland. On the way there we stopped in Paris to visit the Louvre, and bumped into her. They’d gone there first for a few days and were taking a train to Switzerland later.

In JFK airport once and got talking to a member of staff who grew up 5 miles from me and had gone to the same school as my kids.

Met someone on Alcatraz during a tour who sat across a desk from one of the friends I was travelling with.

Visiting family in their new home in Florida and the real estate agent called to the door with a couple who were looking at properties in the area and wanted to see inside a finished home.

Not only were the couple from Ireland but they had lived across the road from the family members here in Ireland 30 years previously.

On a trip to Spain last year and one of our group met 3 different people he knew from home. Two in Málaga airport and another on the street in Granada.

Solihull and Brentwood

Returning from S.Africa in 1990. Waiting in a queue on the second leg at Harare. And was absent mindedly looking around at people.

Fast forward to arriving back at Heathrow and I strolled upto the bus stop for Warwick. The same bloke was next in line. I think he thought I was a stalker.

Two for me. I was in Philippines with my late wife . In her brother’s restaurant. English guy in there got chatting. Found he lived approx ten miles from our house in UK. While chatting then found out . I was a head fishing bailiff for some carp waters near me. One of the bailiffs that was in my team was his next door neighbour.

The second was . Company I worked for sent me to Germany for a job. Was at hotel reception. Heard a voice say what the hell you doing here. It was a guy and others from another company I had worked for staying at same hotel.

WELLINGBOROUGH

When we was in New York we did the Empire State Building and as I remember you change lifts half way up, and my partner bumped into people she worked with who were coming back down, neither of them knew they were in New York that day, let alone The Empire State Building, at the same time
