"I've been to London once. Hated it, but don't like cities generally. So never again.
P.s. never drive to london"
It's not my favourite place either. But I don't mind the drive between here and Glasgow, city of my birth.

"In like, two weeks. I want to do touristy stuff. I'm planning on either going to the Tower of London or the Royal Observatory. Maybe.
Greenwich. The naval museum. You'll love it. "
Have you been? Is it worth it? |

Yes. It was free. Used the DLR, then river boat back up the Thames. Great trip, especially if you have kids, but perfect for adults too |

HAHAHA I told my kid I might go to the Royal Observatory and I was like, it'll be great to see everything and then I can stand on the Greenwich Meridien Line!! And he gave me the most withering look like. How are you so deeply uncool, why would anyone want to do that?
It really put me in my place. |

"I hope to never set foot in the place
What if you were offered the blow job of your life?"
Haha I doubt someone like me would ever receive such an offer but even if did it’s 6 hour drive minimum |

I've got some old and new friends to meet in London sometime this year.
I don't really have any other reason to go, some good museums, perhaps a show. It's not really a city that resonates for me. No offence to the Loopholes and residents amongst us intended.

All these delectable and venerated out-of-town forum-dwellers coming into London soon...and not a single one of them looking to cross my drawbridge or pass through my portcullis to say hello for a coffee or libations.
The arrow 🏹 of disappointment and dejection pierces my fragile heart.

Hopefully popping down in a couple of weeks, just for the day (doing the tourist bit) to try and take in some of the hidden/ cheap/ free bits... suggestions welcome.
Last time Mr was there was to watch the prem rugby final 🤗 and being a saints supporter, he had a pretty good day |
