I came across a profile yesterday that said she was looking for a pen pal.

She also said not looking for any dirty chats, as soon as it gets dirty she will block.

Anyone else JUST looking for chats? If so does distance really matter?

Plenty of people on here just for chats. Where's the harm in it unless you are here to expect something??

Lots of people want to keep in touch online who don't want to physically participate. Same at clubs and events. Just because you go, doesn't equate to having to be sexually active. Some people just like to attend and chat.

As for distance, people talking to each other locally generally understand each other quicker rather than two strangers from places no one has any idea about.

It's just human nature I guess.

It's extremely difficult to tell who genuinely just wants to chat. Distance should be no object if both people are interested in a friendly exchange of messages with no sexual overtones but I have found that almost all will eventually turn sexual. This makes me wary and uncomfortable.

For sure! I chat with people about non-sexy stuff too. I've had people reach out (via threads) about similar life situations/interests, and just talk platonically. It's not all we're here for, but I enjoy the social side!
