Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I don't mind a naughty ad, in the right place, but this one gives me the creeps.

I think it may because she looks so young and singing about seeing her boyfriend's father in the buff.

Am I being too sensitive?

I suppose I feel that it just adds to the mixed messages about older men and younger women.

East Grinstead

Its hilarious and with the wife there it neutralises some of overtly sexual tones to make it more humourous.

In Denmark you would probably have her walking in on dad in the shower, almost spat coffee out seeing the nudity level in shower gel adverts there.

I'll accept I've had a humour by-pass on this one.

wirral

I normally scoot through the ads by watching it on Sky+ but i may have to watch this one now just to see what it's all about.

There was a big fuss made by Mumsnet I think it was about the advert with the fruit bread and the young school girl wearing her school skirt rather short and her brother saying that Dad said this and that and that she was not going out in that.

personally I just thought it being very funny, a micky take on what Dad might have said and you had to look hard to find the sexual innuendo that Mums Net seemed to find

Thank you - that's just how I felt. I now watch it to see if I can tell how old she is supposed to be.

Interesting how you take on this as the marketing men aimed it to get different reactions from different people. Age wise well The girl is of University age so 18/22 and the dad late 40s. I guess perception is different in us all but the screening to a wide audience prior to airing got a different reaction but there you go we all see things from different aspects.

I interpret from the advert that the mum still sees him as her little boy (fixing his collar/dressing him) he reacts like a huffy child, so the girlfriend is implying that the maturity despite the staid clothes of the father is more appealing than the immaturity of the boy with his overbearing mother. Then again I could just be reading a whole pile of pish into it and the chocolate is shite too.

Hmmm I just interpreted it as an attempt to hide the fat they have a thin layer of chocolate on ultra cheap wafer biscuit and want some mug to pay them for it.

I haven't tried the chocolate. I will view it with your interpretation and see how I feel.

In the idealy world she would of dropped to her knees and started noshing the Dad off, that would of guaranteed a sale of one bar to me. Dont care if its 70p, I still would of
