After browsing through a thread on here about having a studio audience in your head .. it got me thinking…. Now my head hurts

I am Aphantasic .. did not know this was a thing until around 3 years ago .. and am now amazed how many of us there are and how non aphantasics are shocked when I say I have no minds eye and cannot visualise an image described to them

So , how many in Fab world are the same as me .. or even did not know this was an actual condition?

And how do you dream? Mine are running commentary with occasional shadows

Kev x

My asd daughter has this. When I explain directions she cannot imagine herself in the place whereas I can easily.

There are lots of variations of it .. if you say to me imagine a purple giraffe I’ll not be able to visualise it

Never thought of directions before though … I just go where satnav tells me 😊😊

I think in words not pictures. Fir instance if someone describes their plans for a garden i have no idea unless they draw me a picture literally .

Interestingly I have a degree of synasthesia

I’d say you are fully aphantasic .. no minds eye so cannot visualise

Fun fact, the previous head of Pixar had aphantasia.

I have it, I think it contributes to why I'm so naturally creative.
