When do you think it's time to ditch the hair dye and just embrace your grey hair?(white hair in my case)

Is 63 to old to still be dyeing your hair?

I haven't dyed mine for years. But I do think it ages me somewhat.so I do think about doing it every now and then.

I keep thinking when it is more evenly spread for me rather than sprinkles of glitter

I guess I was lucky as my greys didn't really start coming in until about 10 years ago, I'm beginning to hate the who dye process but hate the thought of no longer have red hair

I'd embrace it if it looked nice on me or if it was evenly grey or white. As it is, it isn't and I look like crazy cat lady if I don't dye it. It isn't flattering on me and just makes me look really old. I'm not ready for that. I guess there will come a time where I'll decide enough is enough but not yet for me.

I was at the hairdressers last week and she gave me a compliment about my grey hair (I'm 42) she said it's quite the fashion to have your hair coloured like mine (grey hair mixed in) and that the way my grey hair fell naturally just at the front of my hair and not at the back made it look 'expensive'

Brum - ish

I’ve never dyed mine but I’d say the age to stop is when you no longer like the look or can’t be bothered with the faff.

My hair down with streaks of silver looks marvellous. 😍😍😍.

But I have to wear it up for work, so I literally look like this if my hair is grey: 👵🏻 👵🏻 👵🏻 😂😂😂

So I dye it and keep doing it indefinitely in all honesty. It also keeps the ol’ lady frizz at bay.

I would not say it’s the colour that necessarily ages us, but the cut. I cannot wait for my grey to be a little more even so I can stop colouring it, embrace the change, it empowering and skinks of confidence xxx

Never!

I'm 51, currently pink, hoping to get time to put a red over it before club night on Friday.

I found my first grey on my last birthday…. Right on my temple so I’m hoping I get a long white streak like Lily Munster 😈

In answer to you OP, do what makes you happy, fuck what others think

There's no "should" or "shouldn't" about it. Do what makes you feel hot.

I ditched the dye 7 years ago (I'm 43). I attract a lot of Judi Dench fans.

Every time i think I'll let it grow our this time and embrace it. Then the dye has to go back on again. I'm sure I will one day

here there and everywhere

You only have to put down the hair dyes when you feel ready, if that is never, then it’s never 🤷🏻‍♀️ It’s your life and your hair, you do you

I'm 48 and I stopped colouring my hair about a year ago. Love not having the expense and hassle of dying it.

Im more salt and pepper now. I get complimented all the time. I kind of let it go in solidarity with my fellow breast cancer women who lost their hair during chemo.

I stopped at 45 ish.

I found it was making my hair shed a lot so I swapped to Henna but that seemed to dry my hair out, despite me putting oils in it.

So I stopped. I have short hair at the moment so it’s more salt and peppery but when my hair is longer I have a bright grey streak either side of my ears and I love it. Natures highlights!

But carry on as long as you want, personal preference and all that.
