Scottish cat ban madness

SNP leaders in Scotland, made famous by men drinking whisky while wearing skirts, are considering banning pet cats.

They say that these evil buggers are killing the natural Scottish wildlife and something needs to be done about it!

Should we be afraid of these dangerous feline beasts? They may look cute on cat food adverts, but not so when they are eating cute fluffy robin red breasts!

This is all over the news.

Total fucking loons.

John Major didn't get much right as Prime Minister, but he said thirty years ago devolving power would be a disaster.

The nutters in Wales are no better. For much of the last couple of years I had been regularly visiting and keeping an eye on an elderly aunt near Newport to whom I was next of kin who spent her closing months in care (she eventually passed away in March). Near where she lived there was a one & a half mile stretch of road with FIVE different speed limits. It went from 40mph to 20 as it passed a couple of houses, then back to 40, back down to 20, and then to 30 as it approached a roundabout. Crazy.

But as has already been said, just ban the SNP. (The silver lining to last July was most of them being ejected from Westminster)

How can you ban cats? They are prolific breeders, and thrive in urban and rural environments, where there's always prey.

I like cats!

I hope it goes ahead.

Cats are not native to Britain. They were brought from elsewhere centuries ago.

This has been in the news a few times over the years.

Cats are allowed out by owners to shit in your garden, kill birds and keep everyone awake at night.

I respect animals but I wouldn't miss cats if they were no longer around.

Dogs however........

I've a relative in Australia, there you can only keep a cat if it doesn't wander from your property- they have to have a catio outside for it. It's brilliant, they get loads of birdlife now, and tiddles doesn't get flattened by cars.

My cat is no danger

She does a round of the back garden when I allow it

Spends the rest of the day lounging on the front window sill, watching the world go by

She only shits in my kitchen, in her tray

If any wildlife came at her she'd hiss and run away

Quoted from the report;

New housing developments in rural areas could have a stipulation that cats may not be kept in conservation-sensitive areas/other areas that have not had high levels of predation, especially with red-listed or amber-listed birds/other species

It seems that the mainstream are actually telling the truth!

It is a this is what we could do comment. If you read through it all. Ie neutering and vaccination ect. The report doesn't recommend it.

Plus if we are building houses in conservation sensitive areas. I think cats are very much the least of the worry towards wildlife. Gees the noise of a building site alone is enough to put these red or amber listed birds of breeding for as many breeding seasons the site runs for.

Done! Anyone who already has children can keep those if they have them sterilised and registered but anyone having children after the registration date will have them removed and sent to work in salt mines and fairgrounds for their remaining days.

Yeap the SNP are petty as.

It's almost impossible to keep a dog these days my dog has his tail docked you should see the looks I sometimes get off other dog owners, been half expecting the RSPCA to vist.

It's how I got him and have the vets records of the docking.

Walking a cat on a lead and confining it to a back garden is cruel.

Berlin has racoons.

Same as how UK cities now have urban foxes Berlin has urban racoons. They escaped from fur farms in Word War 2 and have slowly established themselves.

I was working over in Berlin and had NO idea about this and had been for a meal with colleagues and as I turned off the street to walk up the steps to my apartment there was a racoon sat on them just looking at me. I thought I was hallucinating!

The most they could do is make you keep your cats indoors. I lived in a village in the States that had that ordinance. When we brought them back to this country they loved going out until they got too old.

Our present pair one goes out until we call him back in around 5. The other only goes out in the summer.

couple, us we him her.

Factoid.

Since the 1970's the UK sparrow population has dwindled with a loss of approximately 30 MILLION sparrows to the point of the common sparrow is on the red endangered list.

This isn't because of cats but humans destroying their natural habitats and nesting areas.

So if they want to ban anything ban humans!

"Cats are allowed out by owners to shit in your garden, kill birds and keep everyone awake at night.

Have you looked around at some of the humans lately?

I'd take the cats any day.

Have you suffered from humans shitting in your garden? That sounds awful.

This shitting has got out of hand.

My wife and I breed cats who live in doors. No threat to wildlife at all.

The issue here which has bee n handled so badly by the SNP (I'm shocked and stunned by the way that they have messed this up) are outdoor cats who do kill their fair share of rodents.

Maybe people who want a cat should treat them as pets and not randy students who are allowed to be out all night screwing who they want.

"SNP leaders in Scotland, made famous by men drinking whisky while wearing skirts, are considering banning pet cats.

They say that these evil buggers are killing the natural Scottish wildlife and something needs to be done about it!

Should we be afraid of these dangerous feline beasts? They may look cute on cat food adverts, but not so when they are eating cute fluffy robin red breasts!

This is all over the news.

Are you really that Gullible?

"I hope it goes ahead.

What about the Scottish wildcat?

That can stay as it is native to britain but the domestic cat isn't.

The Scottish Wildcat doesn't shit in your garden and expect you to feed it. It is independent of people

Haha good points and most of us will go out whole lives without ever seeing one. I’m not a lover of cats but Scottish wildcats are cool they are absolutely hard as nails too

Now they do sound like evil buggers. Are these wild cats a danger to the law abiding Scottish public? And more worryingly, can they get over hadrians wall into England?

They are in Northumberland not sure about anywhere else, I doubt they any threat whatsoever to humans don’t think there are many of them left

Northumberland? Jesus wept, they’ll be down the M6 to Walsall in no time. Something needs to be done about these dangerous beasts!"

Oh bugger after Walsall they are bound to get to Havant …

We’re all doomed .. doomed I tell you doomed …

Another policy been binned at the feet of voters.

Politicians need to learn the difference between organic policy and one that has been promoted by charity groups to a select audience.

All the cat ladies will be voting for Farage

There is no rational need for cats, domestic or feral, to exist. Kill them all - especially the ones that T***** allows in her bedroom, which have bells on their collars and leap around the furniture all bloody night.
