"I think it is allowed because they are private members clubs and they can have different memberships for different people. Night clubs (because they are pure businesses) are not allowed to discriminate based on sex - although many clearly do." That is exactly right and one of the reasons sex clubs are membership only. ![]()

""It is unlawful to offer goods or services to women and men at a range of different prices. The Equality Act 2010 provides that a retailer must not discriminate against the customer by providing them on different terms, on the basis of someone’s sex" Who'da thunk it.....🥪" Another example of sex discrimination is a club which offers free entrance only to women. However, a private members' club is allowed to discriminate against women or men in this way. Examples of a private members' club include working men’s clubs, golf clubs, bowling clubs, and gentlemen’s clubs. Although private members' clubs can discriminate against their members, they are not allowed to discriminate against their employees because of sex. If you don’t like it, just don’t go

"It's not discrimination. It's commerce. It's the pussy privilege and penis pound strategy and it works very well. As long as men continue to pay it then it won't change. Two of the private clubs in Ireland that charged men double have recently closed and the new one that charges every individual (couple or not) the same price is thriving. " Needs to happen here, one of the reasons I've no interest in going, that and the fact men are vetted for some events but not the women, so pay double and turn up to find a load of 5s/6s squished into lingerie 3 size too small....nah I'm good thanks....🥪

" The alternative is likely that the club would not be commercially viable without the difference rates. More men would go, less women would go and eventually that would lead to no-one going. Ask yourself, what would you prefer?" It's entirely possible for a club to sell a certain number of tickets for each class of member without gouging anyone and still turn a profit. As it stands men who are willing to pay are simply subsidising the ticket prices for women or couples. Men who don't like it should be mad at men who pay and don't care because business is business and no one has be be fair when the goal is to make money.

Needs to happen here, one of the reasons I've no interest in going, that and the fact men are vetted for some events but not the women, p pay double and turn up to find a load of 5s/6s squished into lingerie 3 size too small....nah I'm good thanks....🥪" Please continue to not go to clubs so that i never risk bumping into you.

Surely this is illegal because its discriminating based on gender? I wondered what were your thoughts? "Not complaining, please read what i said. I understand the logic but think there must be other ways to get the same effect." You could restrict the number of men that are allowed to attend by making it pre booked guest list only but then you run the risk that it becomes a clique I have no issue with being charged more. Whatever you pay does not guarantee you anything I’d rather pay more for a well organised and safe environment for all where anyone is removed or banned for poor behaviour and I mean anyone

At swinging club Women spend a fortune on their hair, make up, nails, accessories, shoes, lingerie, body grooming. Men rock up in jeans and a polo shirt. Flop their cocks out of their flies, wank and any possibility of action and have an issue with keeping their goddamn hands to themselves. If women turned up with no make up, hair in a srunchy and sweats ala waynetta slob then perhaps there wouldn't be club lists filled with single guys wanting to attend. "Guys rock up and wear just a towel A woman has probably bought new lingerie, had her hair and nails done so probably the women spend more" No one forces women to have their hair/nails, new lingerie, a wax, a spa weekend before the event or anything else. We choose to spend that money on ourselves. A completely moot point, unless men at clubs require this and we’re just doing it for the men, which of course said no woman ever.

"So the consensus seems to be yeah it's discrimination by gender. But it's ok because it's the way it's always been. I wonder how that would work if let's say they charged black folks more or disabled folks more or fat people more. " Yet again someone is mentioning race (and in this case Black people) and yet it’s the usual suspects that will complain there’s a clique because we decide to respond to call out the needlessness. This forum literally never ever changes. Nasty.

"OP, I won't pretend to be clued up on laws around swinging. So I wouldn't know what's legal and what isn't. But I do agree, charging single men double or triple is ridiculous. If it was the other way around a d women were expected to pay double or triple the rate a single man had to pay, there would be complete uproar on here. Just another case of fabs' double standards for you. I hope after posting this you've learnt you can't have an opinion on anything unless it sits well with the majority. ![]() ![]() ![]()

"This is one of those topics that: a. comes up periodically. b. screams of butthurt. By paying to attend a club you are paying for the priveledge of getting in, there are no guarantees beyond that. Do you bitch if a Student pays less for public transport or a pensioner gets a meal deal in a cafe? (age discrimination). Do you begrudge a nurse or police officer getting a Blue Light discount? ( Discrinination based on occupation). I'm sure you have more pressing things to worry about than being charged more than a woman or couple for access to an area that you choose to go to. Good luck at the European Court of Human Rights. " Could probably apply that argument to nearly all threads on here though. It's just a chat thread. Aren't there more pressing things to complain about.

I hope most women and couples are able to see most men who use clubs as more than just whingers and wankers and would maybe be more comfortable with equal pricing, as long as the numbers and standards were equal too ?

"Its been said a few times, and I'm wondering, Are clubs where pricing is equal really sausage fests though? Maybe pricing isnt the best way to manage numbers of attendees. " Exactly. Easy to pre sell tickets and easier to vet people and control numbers that way too.

It always seems to be the same profiles piling onto what they see as a dissenting voice to their righteous opinions. No debate is tolerated, they just like to swarm and ridicule.
