It went exceedingly well. I've secured funding for one of my patients to move into an independent living unit, close to his family & friends and also secured him an iPad to aid his communication difficulties. |

It went exceedingly well. I've secured funding for one of my patients to move into an independent living unit, close to his family & friends and also secured him an iPad to aid his communication difficulties. oh wow, now thats what i call job satisfaction"
It's been quite a battle but really worth the effort. Originally he was refused funding and only given £28 a week via the DLA due to him having a good personal pension. The guys in his late 20's and suffered a huge stroke a couple of years ago partly due to a misdiagnosis by his GP.
This has left him with partial paralysis and Aphasia yet somehow the DWP think it doesn't stop him from leading a normal life!
I've now managed to secure him full funding and also a mobility car for his parents. Took some work and some well crafted letters but ultimately satisfying for me and life changing for him and his family... |
