"If happy tears count then Friday.
If only distressed ones then just before Christmas.
I tend to be pretty open with my emotions 💜"
If only more people were not afraid to feel their emotions and let them out in order to process them, the world would be a better place 💚 |

I'm very emotional I cry while reading, watching movies etc
The last time I really cried was last Tuesday when Grandaughter took a bad turn and was rushed back into icu and didn't get to come home
I literally sobbed my heart out |

I lost my dad three years ago .. in stressful circumstances.. if I think on it for two mins I’m likely to cry … I’m ok with that tbh and know time may help me cope but I’m allowed to feel this way
I also get tearful in films and when sad news on tv so I’m very much in touch with my emotions and let them out when it matters …
I can also laugh as much as I can cry … to balance it out ! |

I cry very rarely. I used to cry quite easily but events of the past ten or so years have really hardened me in that respect. I've been in situations where crying or showing too much emotion would have been somewhat less than helpful. Once the tap has been turned off it's difficult to turn it back on. |

For some reasons TV programmes like the repair shop or long lost families can make me well up at times.
Real life situations don't. I dont think I have cried over losing my dad or one of my closest friends.
Was brought up to not show emotion |

"When was the last time that you cried, are you an emotional person who cries at the drop of the hat, or does it take alot to make you cry?"
Most days usually around midday or in the middle of the night.

Very emotional as I care. I often cry when I can't help or feel helpless towards anyone. Recent example is what's been happening in the middle where the oppressor is made to look like the victim in the media! |

Friday evening as "Death in Paradise" started. My late partner and I used to look forward to the new seasons of "DiP" and it just triggered memories.
I find I get more emotional as I get older. |

Im very emotional. Happy or sad I'll show it. Last time I cried over something personal was last December. I do shed a tear during sad movies etc. I watched a documentary called Shoah during the week. It killed me. |

"I think it's a mistake to equate lack of crying with lack of emotions
I think so too , I can’t remember ever crying but I feel things very deeply. "
Some people.maybe think that too much crying equates with emotionally unstable or not being genuine with their feelings.
Lots of people are brought up to hide those emotions. I know my autistic son gets very uncomfortable when I cry.
And just because I cry at lots of things doesn't mean I am more emotionally unstable 🤣 or am deeply upset all the time. When I am really upset I feel like I have to get all the tears out 🥺. And if I haven't cried for a while it's like there is a backlog 😅
Not that that's been a problem lately, and PMT every month generally clears that issue 🤪 |

Not at the drop of a hat, no. Certainly properly cry in certain situations like losing loved ones but also teary at other times. Depends how close I am to that situation. Last time was recently chatting to a friend who lost his wife and could see how lost he felt and much much he loved her. |

"Haven't cried for years. Still haven't cried over losing my partner and that was 21/2 years ago"
I only cried once after my mum died, it was a few weeks later when a friend sent me a very touching card.
We'd seen her through such tough times that I think all our emotions had been used up. |

Oh God,I cry all the time. I hate it because people think I'm being over emotional. I'm not. It just happens. I'd love to be able to control it. And yesterday. When I stubbed my little toe on the hearth. |

I never used to cry much but in the last few years my emotions are much closer to the surface.
Yesterday I was going through a loved one's belongings and found that he'd kept the tags from all the Christmas and birthday presents I'd bought him. Took me a while to compose myself after that. |

Yeah.
A couple of months after my mum died I was sorting one of her wardrobes. I came across a cardigan she wore a lot, it held her shape and had a darn embroidered handkerchief in the pocket as it always did. That held more if her essence than anything else and affected more powerfully than even her funeral did.
Funny, isn't it. |

I think I did yesterday, a little shed of a tear. I am a pretty emotional person, I can get a bit cut off and task orientated - at times. Sometimes I need the empathy of others to feel the permission.
I was brought up in a very much in a boys don't cry environment. So it's taken some learning. |

I became emotional, but did not cry, at work on Friday. We had some very sad news and I was required to support staff and break news to colleagues.
I'm not hugely emotional, no. |

I'm not overly emotional, but this day hit deep.
I remember the exact words that made my eyes wet.
