If happy tears count then Friday.

If only distressed ones then just before Christmas.

I tend to be pretty open with my emotions 💜

If only more people were not afraid to feel their emotions and let them out in order to process them, the world would be a better place 💚

I lost my dad three years ago .. in stressful circumstances.. if I think on it for two mins I’m likely to cry … I’m ok with that tbh and know time may help me cope but I’m allowed to feel this way

I also get tearful in films and when sad news on tv so I’m very much in touch with my emotions and let them out when it matters …

I can also laugh as much as I can cry … to balance it out !

I cry very rarely. I used to cry quite easily but events of the past ten or so years have really hardened me in that respect. I've been in situations where crying or showing too much emotion would have been somewhat less than helpful. Once the tap has been turned off it's difficult to turn it back on.

Very emotional as I care. I often cry when I can't help or feel helpless towards anyone. Recent example is what's been happening in the middle where the oppressor is made to look like the victim in the media!

Some people.maybe think that too much crying equates with emotionally unstable or not being genuine with their feelings.

Lots of people are brought up to hide those emotions. I know my autistic son gets very uncomfortable when I cry.

And just because I cry at lots of things doesn't mean I am more emotionally unstable 🤣 or am deeply upset all the time. When I am really upset I feel like I have to get all the tears out 🥺. And if I haven't cried for a while it's like there is a backlog 😅

Not that that's been a problem lately, and PMT every month generally clears that issue 🤪

Not at the drop of a hat, no. Certainly properly cry in certain situations like losing loved ones but also teary at other times. Depends how close I am to that situation. Last time was recently chatting to a friend who lost his wife and could see how lost he felt and much much he loved her.

I never used to cry much but in the last few years my emotions are much closer to the surface.

Yesterday I was going through a loved one's belongings and found that he'd kept the tags from all the Christmas and birthday presents I'd bought him. Took me a while to compose myself after that.

Yeah.

A couple of months after my mum died I was sorting one of her wardrobes. I came across a cardigan she wore a lot, it held her shape and had a darn embroidered handkerchief in the pocket as it always did. That held more if her essence than anything else and affected more powerfully than even her funeral did.

Funny, isn't it.

I think I did yesterday, a little shed of a tear. I am a pretty emotional person, I can get a bit cut off and task orientated - at times. Sometimes I need the empathy of others to feel the permission.

I was brought up in a very much in a boys don't cry environment. So it's taken some learning.
