Any soap. Any reality show . Tipping point and any Mulhern or Ant and Dec show . I must be either old or sad. I hanker for the quality drama and comedies we used to watch. |

If you want a genuinely disturbing example of "poverty porn", get on to YouTube and find 'The Scheme'.
It's a BAFTA award winning BBC Scotland documentary that aired in 2010.
It was disturbing for two reasons. Its content and that some people found it entertaining. |

TV has become too sanitised and too much focused on not being controversial.
Bring back the Anarchy of shows like The Word
If TV is not upsetting the chattering classes creating outrage in the tabloids and not having MP’s from shitshire speaking out in parliament then it’s not doing it’s job properly. |
