Episode 23 was spicy. My boss introduced me to MAFS just before Christmas and I’m addicted to the Aussie version.
I love Dave and Jamie, and Billy deserved so much more (even is he does massage like he’s oiling up a beef joint for roasting). Adrian is abysmal, but then in episode 23 he became the embodiment of the “the worst person you know just made a great point” meme. |

I'm just catching up - only on episode 2 and already super disappointed, but not surprised at all, with Tim, the 'nice' guy.
A perfect example of a wet wipe, who can't formulate a sentence to describe his needs and wraps himself up with the 'i'm a nice guy bow'... No you're not nice at all. Can't believe the hissy fit after the ceremony.
Katie is a lovely lady.
I hope he grows a pair of balls.
Can't believe he didn't even shave. |

Bit of a mixed bag, so far. I'm not totally caught up yet but I'm very disappointed with some of them and their behaviour |

So the sister is one of the biggest realtors in Australia. Apparently Netflix love her and want her to do some Aussie version of Selling Sunset. That’s probably what led to the attention seeking. With hindsight, they’re both awful people. |

I think half the problem is how they find a lot of these people. A lot haven’t actually applied for MAFS. They’ve applied for other shows (Dave applied for F*ck Boy Island, but was offered MAFS instead), been found on social media , or already have a talent agent that has managed to wangle them a place on here- Jeff was in Neighbours, Sierah has been in previous dating shows including The Bachelor, Ryan has been an extra in a lot of film and TV.
They’re not actually applying to find a husband or wife. I mean if it was actually an experiment, it would have been scrapped by now after a failure rate of about 98%.  |

I've not learned many names yet. I like Billy, the Brit plasterer, he seems decent, fun and supportive.
It definitely seems a poor mix of people and many who have issues, like the guy who wouldn't write, for one of the tasks this week, seemingly manipulative and controlling. I see him as potentially toxic in a relationship. |

I just feel bad for the people that are genuine that get paired with people that are using it for a vehicle for exposure. Adrian seems like the latter and he’s going to drag Ashwena to the end to maximise his TV time. Jacqui and Ryan seem like they’re both ploughing ahead to the last episode to ensure they’re on TV for as much time as possible, regardless of how incompatible they are. |

Fair point, desperation is there too. Morena was too hurt by her ex husband, as lovely as she is, she gets fired with anger, if she interprets anything as a slight, or reminiscent of how she fared then. |

I don't understand how that Awthena? has put up with Adrian so long. I thought he was fairly straight as he didn't know where he stood with someone else's kid, but how would you not pack up and walk - she seems a shell of herself. It's obvious he's aggressive, controlling and on the show for fame.. I doubt he realises how bad he comes across though |

Both Jacqui and her hubby come across as virgins trying to navigate man and woman roles, conversations, outlooks. It's like each have want an ideal relationship however plastic it looks, but neither really know how to communicate. Can you imagine being patted on the head or shoulder, being made to dance 100 times or give compliments to order to stem insecurity. |

I’m convinced neither have ever had a relationship that extended beyond a matter of weeks. They’re communication is appalling and both seem to think they’re of a quality that they really are not (Jacqueline more so). Knowing what I know now I’m at the end, it’s clear that her “standards” were really just a cover for “I need someone with enormous sums of money to keep me in luxury”, as all the values, qualities and needing a proper man quickly disappear once she moved on from Ryan. |

There seems a major issue this year, of not being able to be able to discuss feelings openly and honestly. She complained about it with him, talking about an event but not sharing his feelings but then she was stomping around, not fully expressing herself honestly.
I don't know to what extent we're being played, with them having people in it, who are there for other motivations. |

Anyone got opinion on Carina or Paul.. If your new partner (of 2 months) said your ex was 'not your calibre' would you sit on it, question it or ask others opinion about it.
It seems Paul is in the wrong and nobody has questioned Carina for making it, instead taking the idea he lacked emotional maturity as it was a private conversation.
None of the other couples were challenged for the comments they made of their partners to others - Jaquie to that electrician, Jamie to Adrian, both had personal comments and details shared that caused arguments with their partners.
Carina made the comment early in the relationship, but she's painted it as though it was said in confidence when it wasn't, it was said negatively, about Paul's past.
A comment like that is as much a dig at Paul as it is his ex. Him bringing it up with Awthrena - the experts said he was wrong, when Carina is being friendly to her but holding judgement about her families calibre.
No matter who he'd have spoken to it would have gotten back to Awthena.
(remember Carina actively put her ex's music on laughed about having sex with him and it's Pauls fault for reacting). |

She took accountability for what she said and gave a heartfelt apology. Don't forget as well it was said in jealousy, on the back of discovering a connection to another bride.
Why shouldn't she play music by her ex - are they forever going to turn the radio off if he comes on it ? If he cannot control his over-reaction and jealousy, he'd be better leaving the experiment and seeking counselling.

Her disclosing it was fine in my opinion. The way he spoke about her behind her back as opposed to when he was with her is what made him a twat in that situation. |

Have you finished the series yet? He left her because he wasn't included in a promo 😂😂 he was a dick at times but he does say stuff about other couples that others wouldn't dare so I give him respect for that but the whole series was weird this year |

Not finished the series, not much on atm so trying not to read comments that go too deep on who's done what to whoo. Some characters and conversations you couldn't make up, as edited as it might be. |

She strikes me as manipulative for the same reasons.. much as Ryan seems fake showy, he came across at least level headed faced with her constant slating, but I don't how he wouldn't have called it quits sooner - it all seemed as put on as her. |
