"Yes to the cheese, but also yes to the bacon, onion, and tabasco... Known as Fancy Beans in our house."
I went through a stage of making my own beans from scratch. Too much like hard work, but damn they were good |

I did that maybe twice, but now just add the extra bits to regular baked beans. It's Fancy Beans, not FANCY BEANS! |

No. It's a flaw of mine that's unlocked by the tism. Definitely not saying anyone is tisming wrong (is that a word? It is now) |

"Plenty of cheese thinly grated, so it melts quicker
I bet cheese would melt on you, you're that hot
That was very smooth "
Thank you! Just like cheese on the beans on toast... I like to lay it on thick 😆 |

Lots of to chefs admit to having beans on toast after a long day in the kitchen.
But I go a step further. Finely chop and fry a small onion and add a crushed garlic clove. Add a curry powder or paste of you choice (bottled Thai curry paste works well) and continue to fry over a low heat until the aroma rises. Then add the can of beans and heat through.
Serve on four slices of toast. |
