I have noticed on a couple of threads the disrespect that some men have for the ladies. When saying someone of the fuller figure was fat. Hairy pussies are nasty well I'm sorry but this is lowering the tone don't you think. Yes I know each to there own and people have ways of saying things. Respect is all I am saying think about what is written or how it's written.

I think some people find it offensive, and some will find it quite ok to say it as its honest ....
Its down to what the individual perceives as ok I guess
I call myself fat all the time however if I see it on here I do tend to jump on the defensive side !!!

"rude wording is often just being honest "
Not always. Depends on the intent behind it. Often the intent in here is to offend.
Take the Alison Moyet thread. One poster out she was a 'huge fat waff' (not really sure what a waff is) if the poster wanted to be honest he should have just said 'I remember she was a fat lady' by adding the extra words he made it offensive |

sure but also who posts it... male, female... regular, not regular, what subject and the motives behind it.
many times you see outrage from people, who then go on and post similar |

Yet you don't actually know the meaning of one of the words you say made it offensive....... interesting. |

Definitely...and think sometimes people are quick to take offence on someone else's behalf |

To be correct, he did't say the fuller figured woman is fat. He said Alison Moyet was a fat maff or miff whatever the ff word was.
She may not be a maffmiff .... but she WAS F.A.T. |

waff (wf, wäf) Scots
v. waffed, waff·ing, waffs
intr. & tr.v.
To wave or flutter or to cause to do so.
n.
1. A waving or fluttering motion.
2. A gust of air; a waft.
[Middle English waffen, to wave, alteration of waven; see wave.]
Now I'm confused.... |

Ok lip up fatty by bad manners for number one if that's the case. And I was not trying to be PC or brownie points before I lost a stone and a half I was fat and hated being referred to as fat. Personal choice I know. |

I thought it was funny not offensive. I'd quite like to be a waff, it sounds fun. |

I think it would be a good name for one of those not quite silent farts where you hear the gas without a rasp. |

"Calling someone fat when they are fat isn't rude.
Going out of your way to make them feel bad for being so however is rude and unkind.
There's a BIG difference between the two."

I think a lot of the issue on here is that we only read words, and interporate them the way we want to. The way we interporate the words will differ depending on our mood at the time.
We aren't aways able to appreciate the tone being used in another person's style of writing. |
