I’ve had a few…
Is there anything you’ve sold or binned or have to give up that you have ever regretted?
I cleared my parents house and there was a lot of my old stuff from when I was a kid. I got rid of most of it…and now regret that |

I regret being young and ideological. I had a 4 bed house in a gorgeous area that I cleared the mortgage by 23. I got married to a single mum and promised I would never see the lad I raised from 1 year old without a safe home. When we split I signed the house over to maintain my promise, I'm proud to have maintained my integrity, sad that I gave up everything I worked so hard to obtain. |

I sold my fully restored series 2 rs turbo to a good mate for a measly 2 grand as had not long became a dad, I made him promise me first refusal if he sold it on yet he sold it and didn’t tell me, i loved that car due to the time I put into building it, it’s not even about what it be worth today as just wish I still had it, I still have the odd dream about it one of my life’s biggest regrets |

I threw out an old white casio keyboard, I think it was PT 1 or PT 10, it was tiny in a leatherette case, it still worked and gave great memories but at the time it was either get rid or have it stay collecting dust.. I didn't think anyone would want to buy them but apparently so. |

So many things. I’ve moved around a lot in the past decade and had to sell/bin stuff to make it work, but if I’d stayed put I’d have loads of cool things and would’ve saved myself a fortune. I shudder to think how much money I’ve wasted over the years. |

A really nice speaker and an American Fender Strat that I bought for £500. Sold both for £300 (to get as much money for a honeymoon with my ex) to a so called friend who sold them on within 6 months. Still pains me to this day. 😠 |

"Not material things no. Its my time, mispent by others, that I regret the most. Unfortunately not something I can control, but the 'I'm never getting those hours back' is frequently in my head "
Oh I do feel this.
I don't regret getting rid of possessions - if I let go of something it's gone and there's no emotional tie to it.
I do regret time I've wasted, including the time I've spent worrying about stuff that I can't impact anyway. What a waste. |

I regret lending 2 people money. But at the time, it seemed the right thing to do.
I wouldn't have made the same mistake the second time, however I was married to the man, and didn't expect to have a change of heart and realise the marriage was wrong.
Hindsight is 20-20, eh?!
Not so much a regret, but I'm still sad I lost a pendant which belonged to my grandmother. My necklace broke, and it fell off, and I could never find it, despite looking everywhere. I think now that it was needed elsewhere more... |
