couple, us we him her.

One of my biggest fears.

Sending a message meant for Mrs to one of our kids.

I'm pretty good if I'm sending anything saucy I usually double check but there's always a first time

Yeah I guess that's easily explained away but still could be really embarrassing

I sent my ex-boss a text once talking about douching arrangements at a hotel I was sharing a room with two others, ahead of an all-male orgy we were attending.

Oh there ain't explaining shit with my dad.

We live in the highly repressed world where I was absolutely discovered in a cabbage patch and if any children were to be discovered, also cabbage patch.

He still likes to tell me off for profanity when I call someone a pain in the neck.

Surely it still sends even if you delete it this end?

I try to be very very careful now when texting my buddy who has the same initial as my son and sister.

Samsung decided those initials would all have the same colour button as each other.

I've sent my buddy a couple of texts meant for my son and sister as he messaged as I was talking to both of them and I wasn't paying attention.

When I'm texting something sexual I double check it's going to him, not one of them.

My ex used to regularly text an old uni friend with the same first initial as me.

Gentle mockery ensued.

Back before WA, telegram and all the other messaging services, when you actually had to SMS message, I had this.

I bought a new Samsung flip phone (it was the latest at the time).

Every text message I sent just went to a random person in my phone book and not the contact I intended. It turned out to be a fault at Vodafones end with a corrupted file they had sent for SMS.

It wasn't any solace after my mum had recieved a very detailed description of what I was doing and what I intended to do to the gorgeous Australian lady I was meant to be messaging

Best one was a couple I chat with on here, well the lady sent some saucy pics to a guy she fancied called Tris.

Her boss at work and whose number she also had in her phone was called Trisha.

You can guess the rest!

Yes. She’s now one of my best friends because of it. I’d not long started a new job. We hadn’t really spoken much so didn’t really know her all that well at the time.

I accidentally text her instead of someone I was seeing. She text back almost immediately saying she was flattered but only saw me as a friend. It was so embarrassing but she was so good natured about it. 8 years later, we’ve both left that job and work/live opposite ends of the country but we still speak almost daily

Easily done when you are replying to multiple messages

You would think that especially when you add a pic , that it would ask you to confirm , ie put in a password

You could add that extra step to different people on your contacts list

Are WhatsApp missing a trick here ?

My kids dad frequently sends me messages that he has meant for his wife.

Nothing saucy, just “hi babe, I’m at the shop do you want anything?” Then a “opps wrong person” message pops along.

I just ignore

I’d have to leave the Country if I ever sent anything rude to my mum, because she would mention it ALL THE TIME

One Christmas morning I copied and pasted a paragraph about dogging into a text to our daughter. It was a complete accident, we don't and never have been interested in dogging and I can't even recall why I'd copied it in the first place.

Neither of us has ever mentioned it since...

I use different apps to message Mrs W, Fab friends, and family.

No chance of getting contents mixed up.

I had a wank session with a friend some years ago. Told a friend how he’d spunked over my hand. Sent it my wife by accident.

She’s never mentioned it

Yep, the fear is real.

Would absolutely hate for our children or our parents to find out that we're swingers.

Have to be to careful when hitting that send button.

Slightly off topic but I once sent CUNT to a senior manager at work. It was meant to be a message about him to a colleague who had called him that earlier in agreement after he chewed me out for work he hadn’t done.

Had to sheepishly stand next to his computer until he came back and ask him to delete the message unread.

I’m super careful with the naughty messages that I’m sending to the right person, however I have managed to send random reels I meant to send to the kids to someone I see 🤣

Eventually, someone will develop separate contact lists for non-sexual contacts, completely separated from the sexual. Warning alarms will need to sound, if you try to use the wrong contact app
