Even as an Arsenal fan he was one of those players I forever admired
Both sides of Manchester in mourning… one of Scotlands and worlds greatest
I can image the holy trinity playing side by side up there… by god what a front 3!

I'm sure you know your brilliant Arsenal player Dennis Bergkamp was named after him. Apart from Jimmy Greaves he was probably the greatest ever British striker.
RIP The Lawman. |

I know that….
When Pele says one of the people he modelled his career after was Denis law… you know you were one hell of a player!
You forget he was the first ever British ballon dor winner!
The scorer of the goal in ‘67 that made Scotland 🏴 the world champions
And his final ever goal, the backheel in the derby for city that sent united down at OT |

I can still remember watching him relegate Man U with that backheel, I was 6 or 7 then.
Great player, you wonder how good he'd have been on pitches nowadays rather than on the swamps they still looked so good on.
A sad day for all football fans. RIP |

I've only just seen this, but RIP to such an icon of football. Was part of a team that helped Man United rebuild after Munich and won a Balon D'or and European Cup alongside fellow Balon D'or winners Bobby Charlton and George Best with an incredible goal scoring record to boot!
A lot of people talk about best front 3s ever but when you have 3 Balon D'or winners in your side, it's always to argue against it. |
