A bit of a niche place to start a book club but I thought maybe the wild and wonderful people here may have found some wild and wonderful books?

I have just got ‘the haunting of hill house’ by Shirley Jackson.

Hopefully pulls me back into the world of reading. There was a t.v adaptation inspired by this book, so thought I’d re visit!

I've been looking for a book that scares me like a movie can. This has popped up a few times. Thanks.

"What are you into?"

I'm open to most. I've read fantasy, thriller, crime, romantic fantasy.

I have been on the hunt for a book that genuinely scares me. But I'm not closed off from suggestions of other genres.

If you’d consider sci-fi Kim Stanley Robinson and Dan Simmons are worth looking at.

Currently reading "Thee Psychick Bible : Thee Apocryphal Sciptures ov Genesis Breyer P-Orrige and Thee Third Mind ov Thee Temple ov Psychick Youth".

.

It's certainly niche and a bit different. Profound one might say.

For those into true war stories I can highly recommend ; IN THE SHADOW OF DEATH BY Idris James Barwick .

It’s a story of a man who was a guest of the Japanese on the Burma railways .

I’ll always recommend Discworld for anyone who hasn’t read them yet.
