No! I adore David Lynch. Twin Peaks was formative for me, and as others have said The Straight Story is just perfection. I shall have to put on some Angelo Badalamenti music, or Julee Cruise in his honour.

With a lot less money, he was able to make an even weirder, more idiosyncratic version of Dune than the recent remake!
