I think its just a natural reaction to close your eyes when you kiss although a guy I used to see often before used to really like us both having our eyes opened when we kissed, it was weird at first but something quite oddly nice about it too lol |

Nooooooooooo, I love eye contact when kissing, its amazing how many people do close their eyes tho, and if they do open them for a second for a crafy peek they look shocked to see me looking back at them  |

I like both,
while closed does give more focus to the other sensations, the extra eye contact can add far more when you can read your partners intentions and pleasure in their eyes.
mind you I usually fall for girls with eyes I can get totally lost in |

Haha me too. Use to surprise Mr when he would see my eyes open but I love being able to stare into his eyes. He likes it that way as well now. Ether that or he is just watching to see what I'm up to |

I do think however that when you first meet someone you can cheerily flick your eyes open and shut, to catch the other out looking.... Its fun and it can build a level of intimacy!

I hate to tell you this but.... it actually increases nothing. Your senses have a range of ability and that is it.... they don't change just because you shut your eyes.

I think it's habit over anything else, it's also a bit off putting when you open your eyes are they are staring at you.
