Border collies are renowned for going blind but he is only 4 so i fear it could be something worse

look on the brightside, it could be an infection but many dogs can cope with being blind with a bit of help and thoughtfulness, like dont move furniture around and always lead walk him, hope hes ok tho and good luck at vets

The land of grey peas and bacon

You can usually tell if dog is losing their sight as their eyes go funny and not clear.. Usually have a blue colour to them. It could be a number of things and might not mean it is losing its sight..

I was going to say he needs looking at by a vet not some advice from someone who can't see him.

Good luck

Give him lots of love! We had a blind dog when we were small kids. She was always happy and strangely she knew her way around and she never got lost. It's amazing how they adapt, don't give up on him.

know the feeling mate, my 2 are inseprable, and a few weeks ago one of them spent a couple of nights at the vets with a infection, and the other was totally inconsolable without her. Hope everything goes ok, collies are brilliant dogs, my best mate has had collies from the same bloodline from the time his great grandfather owned a farm and kept them as workers

Our family dog has just lost his life he was blind in both eyes and deaf too so was always walking into things poor pooch was so sad but now his out of pain, went to vets on Wednesday with him but unfortunately returned home without him as he had a tumor in his belly. He was 15 yrs old tho so a very good age, hope your dog recovers soon. Xx
