What is the earliest memory that you have of a tv show??
I’m not talking about your favourite show from when you were a kid. I’m talking about the show that you have the earliest faintest memories of?
Mine were Jamie and the magic torch and Rentaghost. |

"Mary, mungo and midge
Had 3 feral cats delivered on the doorstep and adopted called these names.
The first one was mauled, the second disappeared and the third was squished on my birthday"
Noooo I didn’t need to know the second half of that 😩 |

"Did anyone else have cable TV growing up? I remember 2 programmes I watched, Ski Boy and Mr Hiccup."
Cable TV ? We had a black and white television that you had to walk about with the aerial to find a signal. We had 3 channels, which required a person to get up and twiddle a button to change channel |

"Does anyone remember the Look and Read programmes on the BBC?
The Boy from Space and Dark Tower?? "
Yes!! We used to watch those at school. They used to wheel the tv into the hall for us to watch it. I loved it! |

I auditioned for that! Didn't get it. 😖
My earliest TV memory; Cheers & M*A*S*H (I know a lot of the kids TV mentioned here, is in there in the back of my mind, but it's not 'memorable'. I remember as a little kid while my parents watched these, thinking how funny they were - even though being so young I had no clue what half the jokes were, just enjoyed feeling grown up laughong along with my folks!!) |

El Chavo - somewhere around 1976 🤭
Black and white TV that you had to hit couple of times and fiddle with the antenna so the image would stabilise enough to see!
Also Don Gato (Top Cat) and Señorita Cometa- first Japanese Tv export.
Life was soo good and so simple then. 🥺 👵🏻 |

Some children's serial made in Australia called "Ten Town". Other than the title I recall basically nothing about it, and t'internet has similar depth of information!
Also a programme called "Orlando", of which according to the BFI there only still exists a 3 minute clip out of about 80 episodes! |
