Fake profiles /photo verification

I have a suggestion to stop a lot of fake profiles on here it has become very depressing dealing with this strange people it takes away the credability of the genuine people. I suggest that
When you create a new account it will only become actuve if you foto verify
Come on it cant be that hard to Wright in a piece of paper and use your phone to take a photo most profiles are created on a phone anyway wright !?

Agree something needs to be done over Christmas was chatting to a newbie single female was ment to meet last weekend. But deep down I knew she/he was a fake and surprise not been on site since! |

Just talking to "a women" but agter a ciuple messages and obvious tell signs he is actually a guy and didnt take much to understand this , been on the gane for too long and can smell them a mile out . But its unfair for the real people specially genuine single/divorced guys |

This same old discussion.
Just ignore non photo verified profiles; is it that difficult?
What if a couple photo verify; split up but one of them keeps the profile going. Why oh why do people get so hung up on verification. How often will people need to get verified. Waste of time, effort and money to continually verify
thousands of profiles.
The site have said a thousand times it's not going to happen.
Full disclosure; we're not verified so we must be fake.

Don't think there are that many guys pretending to be females here because they are easy to identify and pass on by. Think there are more guys pretending to be couples, or may have been once a couple and trying to keep up the facade.
It is a shame that you are expected to prove you are genuine, just because you say no, won't send a picture or won't sent your phone number on first faf you get.  |

The site often makes it mandatory to photo verify, where dubious.
But the onus rests with each of us to take personal responsibility for validation of people and not to rely on Fab. The site can only do so much.
We must take responsibility for reporting suspicious people and inappropriate behaviour to the site |

Personally agree with this but for a different reason.
An ex keeps trying to harass on here, uses an unverified profile so nothing to tie her to doing it.
She gets removed from the site she just creates a new profile.
When you have guys massaging on Facebook with my wife's work details saying they've been sent to do cnc it gets quite disturbing |

The site will never make PV compulsory for all.
In 17 years of being here I've never met a fake person. Why? Because I'm an adult, have a good level of common sense and don't assume everything I see and read to be gospel.
If you think someone isn't real then just don't engage with them. It's as simple as that. We're all capable of deciding who to talk to, who to send photos to and whether we leave our homes to go and meet someone. There's an abundance of simple things that you can do to ease any worries should you choose. And if you decide not to then that's on you, not the site or anyone else.
We are all responsible for our own choices. |

On my singles profile I just couldn't be arsed to photo verify but I had the plenty of in person verifications.
Plus finding a pen takes effort.
Use your due diligence when using fab, it is very easy to spot a fake or a man as woman.

Is it that easy to spot a fake? I've had an old profile reused by someone, I've also been accused of being fake many times. I've never asked for or given veries from meets. I just see it as a notch on the bedpost type of thing. Yes I know many out there insist on veries from meets. I always offer video calls before meets to prove I'm real. |
