If I had had no interaction with them all day I would be sat at home makeup-less in my pjs 😂
If I didn't get a text to say they were definitely coming, excited to see me later, double checking the time etc especially if I had messaged them first then I'm not bothering.
I've had this happen, men pester you to meet. You agree and arrange something. They ghost you the day of the meet, or the day before when you check in they they can still make it. It's like some sort of game. I'm too old and tired for being fucked around 😂 you get one chance and that's it. |

Honestly I've lost count of the timewasting twats I've come across. I think they love the thrill of the chase....I check in with them the day before & if no response I cancel as I'm not feeling it. Then I'm free to make other plans with my precious time |

We always ask people to confirm on the day that the meet is supposed to take place.We are quite clear that the meet won't take place if they don't do this.It's not infallible but it seems to work.

OP - Next time, signpost a "condition of meeting" earlier in your interactions.
State that you will need to hear from them the day of the meet or you'll assume it's cancelled.
Preferably no more than 3 hours beforehand, but you can have a bit of wiggle room there for extenuating circumstances.
Doing a lot of work before meeting, should mean less work when you actually meet.

I've had guys go quiet on me. I send a message saying that as I haven't heard from them that I assume they got cold feet about meeting me and I'm making other plans. I then given them a reasonable period to reply, but also enough time for me to get ready if something genuine has happened during their day. If I don't hear from them I block and move on. |
