Vegan restaurant serving meat
Jump to: Newest in thread
A vegan restaurant in Birmingham, which is a city famous for inventing the balti, has had to start adding meat dishes to their menu.
The owner says he has had to do this to keep his business afloat.
It seems that vegans are not big spenders when it comes to eating out.

Vegan diets have been found out a little bit.
Plant based “fake” meats are ultra processed. Health conscious people are moving away from those meat free alternatives because of that.
PS I’m not criticising vegan diet, I actually enjoy a few days of veggie/vegan eating, just not any of the plant based products like facon or ch*kn etc. |

In fairness I don't think they are aimed at health conscious people, but offer convenience and 'normality' to transitioning people, and those who enjoyed meat - but not the impact on environment / animals |

Have just read article, it wasn’t a vegan restaurant, it was vegetarian and vegan. So would have served dairy before.
So many traditional restaurants offer good plant based and vegetarian options so there is no need for a restaurant that only does vegan/veggie, let’s be honest only the most hardcore of veggie/vegans would avoid a restaurant because it handles meat.
But as others have said it’s a tough climate out there, and if you can’t fill your tables then you have to try something. |

Chinese Takeaway near you |
I’m not surprised haha
Majority say they are vegan to sound cool & trendy but deep down & in secret they love that greasy bacon, lamb & pork chops like the rest of us carnivores .
And business wise how many veggie burgers do you have to see to make the equivalent of seeing 1 steak! |

My bad, shoddy reporting. I must try harder in future. |

I have been in restaurants where a cauliflower steak costs the same price as a beef steak which I think is unfair "
