Not sexual! Cover songs. Not karaokeesque, paint-by-numbers bollocks, but covers of tracks that bring something new to well-loved music.

I love the Hothouse Flowers’ version of ‘I can see clearly’ and Ruth Moody’s take on Bruce Springsteen’s ‘Dancing in the dark’. What does everyone else recommend?

Bowie is a legend but Nirvana's version of The Man Who Sold The World was the better version.

In a different forum/conversation someone mentioned a version of the same song by Pentatonix. Just listened to that and it’s really rather haunting.

Sound of Silence by Disturbed is my favourite cover single.

Mad World by Gary Jules is also great.

But I have a soft spot for any cover by Hayseed Dixie

Agree on all three. If you get the chance to see Hayseed Dixie live, they’re fantastic.

And I’ll throw in Johnny Cash Hurt too
