If there is no flirty back and forth, for me that's usually a sign it won't go anywhere more than just friends.
I always try to make cheeky comments, flirt, be naughty, whatever suits. If it dies out, then generally I'll move on. It's the sexual side I'm missing and have enough platonic friends, so I don't really want anymore. |

Reminds me of the Matt Rife clip where he say guys use friendship with women they fancy in order to wait for an opportunity to get more, sometimes years building trust and access. Also why guys don't trust their partner's guy friends. But that was a tangent.
To avoid the friend zone, I'd state your intent, offer your time and energy in activities together that would build more than 'friendship' |
