I just saw that John, the proprietor of Silverleigh has died.

There's an announcement on the Silverleigh website.

Apparently, the venue will stay open - for now.

I wonder what will happen in the future. I always assumed that when the time came, it would shut down.

Never been to Silverleigh but from reading the reviews, everyone seemed to have good things to say about John.

Ironically, OH and I have a room booked for this Saturday as our first visit.

Very sad news. I first met John when I was in my late teens just after silverleigh opened.

Lovely man and the driving force behind silverleigh.

I do hope it doesn’t close now!
