Do you ever get bored of fab? I had a moment last night when I thought I was. I don’t take a scattergun approach to messaging people. I’m a little selective and I wasn’t having any luck getting a response from anyone. Fortunately fate shined a light on me and my faith was restored.

The overall site, no.
Lounge can sometimes be threads for a few days that don't appeal to me but appeal to others, so I'll go quieter and reappear when I find things more to my own taste.
But, overall, no. |

I don't become bored of Fab itself, but I do find it tedious at times. The repetition and quietness are the main things.
Thankfully, I have people to chat with and elsewhere too. So if I take a break, I can still have fun.
That's my solution to the tedium. Take breaks and try not to spend *too* much time here (if I can help it lol). |

I don't get much rudeness these days as I have filters and am quick to block!
I think like Glow has said, it's more about me than the site. I get sick of receiving the same "hey" messages and having the same conversations and it all just feels tedious and I start getting irritable.
I take a break and haunt other fora for a while and when I come back everything is magically more entertaining and a better laugh. |

The truck is to not take it too seriously. It’s a bit of fun for most of us, a little amuse bouche on the side. Suspect they’re not actually that many on here that a seriously in deep with “the lifestyle” (Jesus, hoe I hate that tag!) |

I don't get bored of Fab because it's not the nucleus of my mainstream life. I also don't get bored because I have no expectations of it/from it. It doesn't figure in my daily life as a checkmark that needs chalking up for me in any way. |

Not sure I get bored, the forums and new pics/vids keep me entertained. I do think it has a shelf life though. Having messaged all the people I’d like to meet and not had any luck then looking for a meet is kinda pointless I feel. |

I don’t really care about the meets too much. Still early days. I’m active on a couple of dating apps, where I’m far more successful at meeting people.
I think that fabswingers is an absolute treasure trove for psychologists exploring the human sexual psyche though. I’m not a psychologist myself but I find it fascinating. |

I am very bored of it at the moment. Nobody seems to read my profile and just shoot off one liners expecting a reply. Also, I seem to match with people hundreds of miles away! |

It does feel like endlessly pushing a Boulder uphill sometimes and I definitely go in phases with the forums, the lack of engagement here does feel a lot like screaming into the void. I can’t get my head around the chat rooms at all, but I’m sure that’s just me. |

I used to. Sifting through messages and profiles trying to find someone I like, was overwhelming at times.
Until 3 years ago, when a lounge thread recommended certain filters and it's been amazing, I can coast under the radar of the belly of fab and hunt for myself.
Now I only get mail which is forum based  |

It’s still a fascination for me … it’s too addictive !
I enjoy the forum , chat to some great people
Get lots of knowlage from the odd serious thread, love the chat rooms,
Plus meets some great people - and had the best times sexually,
Sure been blocked and have blocked 🚫 but on the whole a good experience from
Where I started and why I started in fab.
Does the novelty diminish in time …??? it’s great to find like minded non judgmental people on here so not do far

Very much so. I should possibly use the forum more. I think (know) the site is much better if you are a woman, imagining opening your mailbox to loads of messages to read through, as opposed to one or two. That must make it more interesting. I don't usually come on here much now. |

Goes with the territory i guess - despite dividing my time between Hants/ Wilts, London and Oxford, all the lovely people still seem to be in Aberdeen lol! So it's clubs for meets, but Fabs for a giggle! Breaks still recommended for essential R&R though! |

Not sure if "bored" is the right term, but it can be tedious having the same six/seven message conversations with people who apparently want to meet but due to distance/location, availability/conflicting diaries etc nothing ever gets beyond the inital "would love to meet" stage and then they just fall into the abyss of messages and you rarely speak again. |

Well occasionally,but in The good old days before you could offset the boredom by coming onto the forums where post's would flash past at an alarming rate, banter was aplenty and lots of colourful characters lit the place up.
Some posts could reach 175 within a few minutes and it was possible to have a laugh and the clique was in full swing.
This was about 6 years ago things have changed massively now so even the forum can be bland and boring.
But noone is forcing us to stay so it can't be that bad |

This is our experience too, who knew, that on a site full of horny adults, it would be so hare to actually get laid? And that's boring.
The time wasters that have come and gone over the years have done a real number on the site and lifestyle - a big old number 2 unfortunately. |

Yep. My experience peaks and troughs regularly. A couple of bad interactions can totally bomb me out, and a damn good social can boost me back up again. It’s a rollercoaster.
I just try to regulate my responses… try not to be too catty with people when I’m on a downer, or hump everyone when it’s good  |

What I do is only use fab on a certain browser on my phone and when I get fed up, delete the browser for a week or so, the urge to reinstall it immediately is never there, it’s my brain telling me it’s no good to have constant online interaction, bin it and go outside, don’t forget your coat |

I'm probably due another break at some point. It's the lack of effort from others that bores me. But it's also the same no matter where you go online these days.
It's the reason I stick to one site/app, instead of using more than one. Less hassle to deal with lol.
Thankfully there are some lovely people who DO make the effort and if things go well, I'll hopefully be able to stay away for longer. 😄 |
