How did you start talking about swinging with your other half?

For me it was after watching a TV drama about it. My then gf and I then started discussing whether we'd like to try it and that was the start of a fun few years of an open relationship and swinging.

In subsequent relationships I've always read the signals and avoided suggesting it as I got the feeling it wouldn't be well received.

We met over the Internet long before we ever thought there was any liklihood of meeting. We talked about all sorts of things, including our sex lives. I (Luke) said I was wondering n this scene and I would only want to be in a relationship that could include some ENM. So by the time we met, it was already out there.
