Right now I'm diving back into Sherlock Holmes adaptations. They're not 'cosy crime' but they are comfort viewing of a sort - a different time, mysteries uncovered and resolved.
This is common knowledge but Conan Doyle, having created the ultimate figure of logical detection was himself a believer in spiritualism, attended seances and also believed the children who faked the photographs of fairies. |

I am currently learning to read maps and navigate (not using GPS), plus how to tie all sorts of knots in rope but not for sexual gratification reasons.
I am really enjoying learning these new skills and I have homework set for me by my very helpful husband to practice before I go for my assessments.

Christopher Nolan films. I'd half watched a couple of them but found them confusing.
I watched Interstellar for the first time the other day and was blown away. Couldn't stop thinking about it. So I (re)watched Inception. Watched Tenet for the first time. I've got Oppenheimer to (re)watch, Dunkirk. I'm looking for The Prestige on streaming sites and will hopefully watch Memento today or tomorrow. Batman films I've seen plenty of times so not that bothered about watching again. |

"I'm into cosplay/costuming.
And
Very much into 3D printing (I have far too many printers atm).
What are you cosplaying as next? And printing?"
I have a few in progress:
Paz Vizsla (Mandalorian)
Hulk (8ft)
And may start Buzz Lightyear

Not so much now as I’m at work, but the weekend job is to sort my vinyls out, move from 6 record boxes into 7, check they are correctly alphabetically stored and double check Discogs to make sure I’ve catalogued them all. |

Not something I've done before as they're purpose built to fit me (not average size) & a few are worth over £1k so have to be careful.
I have lent them out to friends though. |

I'm sure with some ingenious printing you could fashion some adjustable sizing components; you could make a killing!!!💰💰💰💰💰💰💰 |

I'd rather not get involved in any copyright infringements.
The costumes are worn for fun and fundraising. |

Board gaming... recently taught the Mrs terraforming mars and have a fair size collection of games
And possibly less geeky and more crafty but Mr enjoys whittling/wood carving. It's a mindful hobby and distraction from a racing mind. Recently been looking at the bark of trees so he can recognise lime wood, ideal uk equivalent of basswood and relatively easy to carve |

Makes sense. Shame, thought we were going to see a millionaire in the making!
Fair play to you though; I get a few diorama builds and cosplay creations on my social feeds occasionally and it's mindblowing some of the shit people can create nowadays! |

I got a Xbox Series X at Christmas so I'm geeking out about videogames again. Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is amazing and I've got Mass Effect so I can do a 3 game play through for the first time.
Also wrestling. The WWE has come to Netflix so I'll be watching Royal Rumble 2000 tonight and freaking out that it's now 25 years old. |

Royal Rumble 2000 is an absolute classic! Just admit that the real reason you're watching it is for Mae Young's boobs |

It turns out Joseph Lstiburek has a new update to his book "Builder's Guide to Cold Climates".
Love this stuff. Jo is a God. Larry Haun is also a beast. If you had 10,000 Hauns in Ireland and the UK, the physical problem part of the construction labour shortages would be actually over. He was just that wildly efficient at constructing low cost housing, he and his brother were knocking out completed shells in 2 days. For comparison Ireland and UK construction techniques would get you to the same place in multiple months and cost more. Yeah.
People complain about bad houses or affordability, which is fair, but you got to give social credit to the very best people if you want a new generation to develop the knowledge. Almost nobody in Ireland could name a famous builder, let alone a noteworthy Irish builder in our time, maybe they could name an architect or an engineer from the 18th century if you're lucky. Robotics isn't going to get us there, only skilled, motivated and intelligent real world articulation by people with assistant machines. |

I love pro-wrestling and theme parks, especially Disney. Try explaining to a woman, 1 date in that your main hobbies are watching men fight in pants and visiting castles made out of fibreglass, then see if date #2 happens. |

War thunder. It's a game on xbox ps and pc. Never would I have ever been able to differentiate between old war vehicles. Now I know so many tanks and planes, their armament, weak spots, their aesthetic. I never cared for old military vehicles. But I fucking love these now. You can not get me away from my digital f-111 aardvarks. No I don't wanna fuck when I need to grind for my tiger ii tank. I need a life but I can't live without war thunder |
