Now that the festive silly season is largely behind us, is there anything you need to get off your chest... Something you did that you maybe shouldn't have either this festive season or in the past?

I actually have something that I’m desperate to confess, but I just can’t bring myself to do it, it’s just so shocking even for me, I’ve only told one person on here but started writing a story.

Many moons ago I had a major crush on a mates Mum. Think Cher on the battleship video (not that she wore that outfit but she had that look about her). Anyway, we got on great, always laughing and joking and whilst I lusted after her a lot, it never seemed to be reciprocated.
Until one Christmas. I was about 18 and we'd had the usual big Christmas blow out on Christmas Day night. Lots of drink, food and people. It was a great party and the highlight of the year.
But this year seemed a bit different. "Cher" was a bit flirtier than usual. Grinding her hips a little more vigorously during the Dirty Dancing song, etc.
At the end of the night (early morning) I was helping tidy stuff away. The guests had gone, my mate was well asleep on the sofa and we were alone in the kitchen. We sat at the dining table for a night cap (black Russian as I recall as we shared a taste for Tia Maria) and "Cher" asked me why I was single? "A young good-lucking boy like you, blah blah blah..."
"I only have eyes for you," I replied cheekily.
We held each others gaze for the longest couple of seconds in history before she broke away and looked up to the ceiling. My eyes followed her gaze.
"What are you looking for?"
"The mistletoe so you can give me that Christmas kiss you've been after all night."
And with that, I had the best Christmas kiss I've ever had.

I’m not biting…. The panda, Boo-Boo, and the Christmas flashing dinosaurs in Santa hats are all fine. None of them are traumatised or stuck anywhere . |
